This wood mortar and pestle works great. Makes grinding herbs, etc in the kitchen so much easier. If you are a kitchen witch you need this! Looks nice on the counter too!

Very nice quality it has some weight to it and felt good and sturdy was great for mofongo and easy to clean you can tell that the wood was treated and it's off high quality. It's a pretty good size I was able to fit 3 mashed plantains inside of it

Good products

Before I ordered this I was using a bowl to smash up Greenies to sprinkle the powder on wet cat food to get my old cat to eat. (The idea worked !) But, lost more as they shot out of the bowl when I smashed them :) You should have seen the old cat run for the pieces. This, the sides are high and it doesn't do that. It's so easy now. Besides being very useful, it looks great sitting on the kitchen counter. Don't put in a dishwasher, just wipe it out and rinse and your good. A long time ago, I placed my cutting board in the dishwasher and it wasn't long after that, it just separated into pieces :( So I learned my lesson the hard way. Since it is wood, every once and awhile just wipe it out with a little light olive oil. This would also make a great gift if you know anyone that has their own herb garden or buys fresh herbs. I love it.

It’s absolutely gorgeous!! I’m so thrilled with it. It’s smooth, not heavy (I struggle with my hands) the bowl is deep, the wood is strong and healthy and, well, it’s just stunning! I’ve been looking for the perfect one and THIS is it! Lovely little care guide card and thank you message on the base. One very happy lady! Thank you ☺️

Der "Samhita Handgefertigter Mörser und Stößel aus Akazienholz" wurde mir gestern geliefert. Da es einige 1-Sterne Bewertungen gibt, war ich gespannt, ob die Geschichten von "Risse im Holz" bis "Unerträglich Chemischer Gestank" sich auch bei meinem Mörser zeigen. Mir ist sowieso schleierhaft, wo ein chemischer Gestank bei einem Holzprodukt herkommen soll: Holzleim ist ein Naturprodukt und wird seit ewigen Zeiten in der Produktion von Holzutensilien verwendet. Leimholz ist deutlich verwindungsfester als einfaches Naturholz - es sei denn, es wurde vor Verarbeitung Jahrzehnte lang gelagert und getrocknet. Erfreulicherweise ist der Mörser, den ich geliefert erhalten habe, gut gearbeitet, er riecht neutral, die Oberfläche zeigt sich eben. Einzig die Innenfläche hätte sorgfältiger ausgeschliffen werden können. Die ist in einen kleinen Bereich dunkel und rau. Ich werde das nacharbeiten können. Auch der Stößel aus Holz macht mir einen soliden Eindruck. Ich denke, dass ich damit problemlos Pfeffer und andere Gewürze zerstoßen werde. Alles in allem bin ich zufrieden mit diesem Produkt. Ich habe das Holz mit Olivenöl eingerieben und werde morgen den Mörser einsetzen, um Pfeffer zu zerstoßen. Mit meinem aktuellen Wissen empfehle ich diesen Mörser guten Gewissens. Ich bin gespannt, wie lange meine Freude anhält.
