If changing from the originals to these do you need to replace the whole set of downlights or just the individual bulbs.

I found they fitted OK in the existing fitting - the spring retainers were looser than on the original but this was not a signficant problem. HOWEVER the bulbs (2 so far) lasted only about 3 weeks of normal use, at which point they started to strobe on and off at about a 1 second cycle. Utterly useless, and rather less than the 3.5 years continual use lifetime claimed by Aurora. At that point Aurora appeared to have discontinued sales of these. I have tried to contact Aurora but they have not deigned to answer a mere customer. I have not been able to find another alternative as nothing else seems to have the 60mm lens diameter. I can only say that Aurora should not be encouraged to continue trading until they develop a saleable product, and respond with some enthusiasm (rather than complete indifference) to the problems they sell to their customers.

Does this fit in the au-guf4011/40 or 30 downlight perfectly as claimed in the description? looking at the reviews, i am assuming it does not.

Yes, there is a very small gap of approximately 1mm after installation. However, the bulb is an excellent alrunative to the original. If exspensive...
