do these need to be assembled?

Most definitely, especially if your like daisy chains: Do you want me to make a daisy chain for you? (PF reference) They make great belts when hooked together, they come pre-bent (much like I think u r).

Are these thin enough to poke reset buttons in some stuff?

I looked at them and they seem sturdy enough, and thin enough to use in that way.

What is the size of the clips in inches?

they are the bigger of the 2 most common paper clips. the ones your asking about are 1 3/4" long compared to the smaller ones that are only 1 1/4"

Just received my order and some boxes only had 50 clips. How can this be corrected?

All of the aids I see indicate there are 100 Jumbo Paperclips per box.
