I got this as decoration for the balcony at my apartment and I absolutely love it! The light inside is a warm yellow that isn't too bright. The glow and design it emits from the feathers onto the ground is beautiful (illustrated in my photo). If you're looking for this to light up a pathway, that is not going to happen with this owl. This owl is an accent piece and more for decorative purposes for the yard, patio, or garden. The solar panel is on top of the owl's head and on the underside of it is an on/off switch, so it is very simple to turn on and off. I love the details in the design and think it's a beautiful, unique piece. Make sure to place it somewhere it won't get knocked over because this is a delicate piece.

UPDATE: Well, it worked nicely for a month. Doesn't turn on at all anymore. Waste of money. Never moved it or dropped it, nothing. Sat on our patio table since day 1 and was never moved, so you can't blame it on improper handling by the customer. There's a reason it's only $10. Junk. AND I can't even return it or get a refund. Don't buy this or anything from this seller.Came very well packaged, which I know is a small thing but it matters & is worth noting. Glows just like the pictures. Wish it sat more flat, & also wish it had more weight, but overall very happy with it. I took the light out and put a few rocks in the bottom to make sure it doesn't blow over. Makes a wonderful addition to our patio.

We love the owl, but it's not water-proof. It stopped working after the first rain we had. The solar panel, where the batteries are located was FULL of water. How can you sell a solar powered product that you can't use outside? Do not recommend.

I have had this owl for a few months and the paint is already chipping off and the light has stopped working. I have ordered several solar powered products from Amazon and must say this one was the quickest to stop lighting up. It is cute but not worth buying unless you don't care that it won't hold up to being outdoors.

Ordered this item from what the picture looked like. Design is different. The lighting is absolutely terrible! Nothing, at all, what the picture shows. The solar charging unit is on top of the Owls head and is very unsightly. If your not going to use the light feature and could put something over the top, it's OK. Other than that, I would not have ordered this item and do not recommend.

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! CHEAP, FLIMSY PLASTIC WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT BUT FAR WORSE IS THAT THE SOLAR CELL IS NOT WATERTIGHT DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT IS FOR OUTDOORS!!! LEAKED!!!! DURING THE FIRST TIME OUTSIDE IN LIGHT RAIN MOISTURE INTRUDED INTO THE LIGHT AND IT WAS RUINED. IT NEVER WORKED AND WAS A GIFT TO A FRIEND, WHEN I VISITED AND SAW IT I REALIZED WHAT HAD HAPPENED, THEY WERE TOO SAD TO TELL MY THE GIFT I BOUGHT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. IT IS IN THE TRASH NOW, TOO LATE TO RETURN, BUT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.

not quite as detailed at the picture shows but it's cute. Have yet to place it outside so durability is a question yet to be answered. Update to my last review, lite up for a few minutes and then nothing. Charged for two days in the sun light- still nothing. Going to replace the "new" battery that came with it and if it doesnt work its going back.

We love our new Owl! He looks beautiful at night. My daughter had to touch him to see if he was ceramic or not as it does not look like plastic/resin. The only drawback was we thought the eyes would show up more when lit at night but they do not - so all you really see is the chest/body of the owl. Am considering purchasing another one.
