Delicious recipes
Lots of yummy recipes. It doesn't feel like a diet. Simple clear flavours and fresh palate. Beautiful pictures. Not too many ingredients. Emphasis on local fresh and organic - if you can. There are a couple of Hugh Grants comments that are funny. Have I lost weight? Maybe a kilo or two. We'll I'm doing this slowly - I am tired or trying something new for two weeks and crashing at the nearest chocolate. I definitely feel less bloated. Drinking more water. Trying to cut back on tea and coffee. I've given up bread- don't miss it. I eat one of the healthy breakfast either fruit some seeds and yoghurt, eggs, or a little of porridge.

Changed our eating habits forever
After years of yo-yo dieting and never really finding an answer to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and enjoyable healthy eating regime, this book is an absolute must in our kitchen. The recipes are awesome, the tastes and flavours are mouth watering, and once you've switched yourself into a Clean and Lean mindset, it's impossible ( well it is for me ) to think of eating any other way ever again. Quite simply, you feel fantastic, your skin glows and everything about your body just works better. James D and the Bodyism team are doing an amazing job of changing the way people think about food and exercise. Great book, and look forward to perhaps more to come....

I thought the recipes were something I’d like but they’re not
I thought the recipes were something I’d like but they’re not. I was looking for easy and foods I know but it wasn’t but it’s a nice read on weird foods.

I just couldn't believe I had managed to shift that past 10lbs so easily. I also struggle with sugar but on Clean ...
If you want to lose weight without having to change how you eat buy this book! Every time I read an interview with an actor, model or DJ they seemed to mention Clean and Lean so I thought it might work for me. I work away a lot so I'm often eating at strange times in strange places! The first time I did the 14 day weight loss plan I lost so much I went to the doctor! I just couldn't believe I had managed to shift that past 10lbs so easily. I also struggle with sugar but on Clean and Lean those cravings just disappeared. It's not faddy like so many books out there and it's simple enough to fit into busy or irregular lives where you don't have time to prep, weight or measure stuff. I have all his books and I buy this for everyone I love!

and the very first one that I tried making was just not good at all
Some of the recipes aren't very well thought out, and the very first one that I tried making was just not good at all. Hopefully other recipes are better.

Live changing
I read Clean and Lean Diet and changed my way of eating, my way of looking at the food, my way of grocery shopping at the supermarket.I needed more recipes to follow the Diet and I found this book which is just amazing.I really never expected to change so many things just reading a book, but I did and I highly recommend the books, both of them.

Is this for me?
I'm a Type 2 diabetic and I'm always looking for healthy recipes. I liked a lot of the recipesBut I'm not sure if I could carb count with them.I would recommend this book because it is very clear and how it is set out. I gave it a four star rating, because I believe in his way of eating.

Great diet that doesn't feel like a diet!
I've bought 3 of James Duigans books now and this is my favourite. I love the fact that following this eating plan gives me so much more energy and you actualy feel cleaner when following it.It's great that you're not counting calories and as long as you stick to the basic concept you can lose plenty of weight without trying too hard.I use my 'cheat' meals to have red wine or chocolate and keep my diet as varied as possible so I don't get bored. This book has loads of exciting recipes so there's plenty of choice.I'm not one for cutting complete food groups out of my diet so I've made healthy swaps instead. I'll have granary or rye bread, brown rice and brown sugar rather than the white alternatives. I start every day with hot water & lemon as he suggests and take multivitamins rather than the very expensive bodyism products.I don't eat meat so I have lots of fish and prawns and substitute with quorn, which although I'd consider that processed, is actually recommended in the book.If you don't like excercising much or calorie counting I'd recommend this book for you but be prepared to stock up on lots of store cupboard ingredients when you start out.

Easy, simple and tasty!
My partner and i love this book, the recipes and meal plan are a little less extreme than his other book so this one allows in some brown rice etc rather than being just protein and veg although the bias is still towards this for good reason as eating this way has allowed me to drop 10lbs (from 10 stone). Recipes are easy to follow although you may have to buy many new ingredients as i dont tend to have them in my store cupboard. But if you intend to cook the dishes repeatedly its not a problem. My favs so far have been the butternut squash with feta cheese and the mackerel kedgeree, both very easy to make and delicious and can be served to non dieting visitors. Would highly reccomend this book!

Overhyped and overrated
There are great recipes in this book in that they're nutritious and easy to make. However, Duigan clearly believes his own press as he piffles about with little titbits of mundane advice in what is a very lacklustre book.It is also very clear Duigan has NO IDEA what he is talking about regarding food and nutrition. His description of what juicing and blending is is flat out wrong. I actually gasped when I read it. He also makes statements which simply aren't true. The one about beef and saturated fat was a humdinger as was his advice regarding freshly squeezed fruit juice. 500g of sugar does not make a treat clean! What planet is this guy on?If you can wade through the end pages of gratuitous name dropping, you did better than me. A load of bollocks. This book is a timely reminder of why trainers should stick to physical training and not pretend to be dieticians. Books like this really annoy me for this reason. l training and refrain from giving any nutritional and dietary advice. If you love celebrity by all means get the book but if you want accuracy, there are better alternatives out there. I am returning this one.
