Handle dye stains seats of new boat
I bought this ski rope for my husband for Christmas 2016. Our first opportunity to use it was this past weekend. We took it out of the package and used it to waterski on Sunday, April 30th. Upon bringing the ski rope and handle back into our new boat we noticed that black dye from the rope that was part of the handle was dripping all over the boat and staining the interior. We wrapped it up in a towel (which it also stained) and took it home to hang outside the house to dry where it dripped some more, staining everything it dripped on. Apparantly the dye will stay on everything but the rope inside the handle. I do not recommend this ski rope for anyone and would have returned it but the return window expired before we had the opportunity to use it. I am extremely disappointed in this product! Good quality... But is the price worth it, only time will tell.
This is an expensive rope, seems a little overpriced for what it is. Ours has an issue with the rubber end caps coming off the handle, they easily slide back on but for the price that shouldn't be a continuous problem. The length markers on each section of the Rope are very handy. The main line rope itself is thick, strong and appears to be high quality. The rope attaching the handle to the main line is surprisingly thin but seems very strong at the same time.I give it three stars because of the price and problems with the end caps for the price you pay.

I was really starting to love the feel of the handle until the 3rd or ...
I have used the Proline product line for many years. I used this proline ski rope and handle right out of the box it was shipped in. I was really starting to love the feel of the handle until the 3rd or fourth time. After the 3rd or fourth run down the ski coarse with this handle, I noticed one of the protective end-caps on the handle had come off and was working its way up the handles rope. After the ski run, I noticed the rubber protective end-cap was slightly torn causing the end-cap to work loose. After 20+ years of skiing, I find this to be problematic because with out that end-cap, people and things can get hurt or damaged. I feel this is a major flaw in a normally great product and truly hope that Proline removes this product for sale to prevent any injury or damage.

Would be great if end caps stayed on
Mixed feelings about this handle. The elliptical shape does feel nice in the hands, others in our ski group remarked on that as well. BUT the big flaw is that the end caps won't stay on properly! Started sliding off the ends after a few uses. While only recreation slalom skiers, we ski aggressively and tent to hold the handle near the ends - but that is a common usage. Tried several kinds of glue to fix this - all the obvious candidates - concluded none were up to the task. I've used other brands before with similar caps that never had this problem. Too bad as otherwise it would be a great value rope/handle combo.

Cheaply made, terrible, stains boat
Terrible. First time used cap broke off end and sank. Then brought in boat and it oozed dye all over boat. It continues to stain everything. Finally soaked it and it stains less. Will return ASAP! Cheap, cheap! They tried to make the rope black by just dying after made.

Awesome slalom rope for easy deep water starts.
I love the rope. For your fist use you have to be careful the rope doesn't get tangled but after your first pull the rope will not get tangled. The rope just needs to be stretched. If you are just starting to slalom ski this rope will help you get up easier. My son who is a wake boarder tried it out and got up on a slalom ski his first try to my and his surprise.I would not use this rope if you don't need the extra help unless it is your only rope, then it would be ok.

End caps disconnects
Not a good product. While the curved handle and sectioned rope are plusses, the construiction of the handle leaves a lot to be desired. With moderate use the plastic end caps come off and while they can be reinstalled with some effort, they continue to come off. They both do it and as such I would not order another. The 1st came off after 1 use and the second came off before 5 uses.

DO NOT BUY THIS LINE UNLESS YOU WANT UPHOLSTERY STAINED.
Just like another reviewer wrote, handle has some serious issues--most importantly: IT STAINS YOUR BOAT UPHOLSTERY!!!!!!!There is some kind of dye in the handle that once it's wet, drips out what looks like ink and is really, REALLY difficult to get out of upholstery. I've thrown both my handles out--waste of money. If you're out there, Proline, please fix this problem for future customers and refund my money.DO NOT BUY THIS LINE UNLESS YOU WANT UPHOLSTERY STAINED.
