Samyang Buldak Extreme Spicy Ramen 9 Flavors Artificial Chicken plus Seaweed Pack
A product of South Korea this set consists of nine flavors of spicy artificial chicken flavored ramen along with a bonus packet of a tasty toasted seaweed snack. This ramen group produces some serious heat so if adverse to a good mouth burning this may not be the best choice. I consumed two of the flavors to gauge heat levels and flavor. The Tomato Pasta flavor caused immediate crying, sinus clearing along with a serious mouth-on-fire response but it was so delicious I could not stop eating it.No permanent damage was done and the heat was totally gone within 10 minutes. The second ramen dish was a stir-fry variety and while still quite hot it was more manageable—just a couple minutes of heat and no sinus clearing or watery eyes. It is notable that preparation for the group is more involved than just adding boiling water to the noodles and waiting a few minutes. The first pouch required boiling the noodles in a saucepan for 5 minutes, draining the water and adding the sauce and seasoning packets. For the second dish it required the same boiling process and then draining all but 8 spoons (I used tablespoons) of water. Next add the sauce to the noodles with the water and stir fry for at least 30 seconds and then sprinkle the toppings. So, there is some variation in cooking methods.Ramen is a satisfying dish but not particularly healthy and this group is no exception with shockingly long ingredient lists and calorie counts that range from 250 to 560 with the majority on the high end. When it comes to ramen I tend to ignore any downside because I consider it a treat like an occasional ice cream sundae.Best by dates among the group are not consistent with some expiring in two or three months but most at the seven month mark but dates will vary. Satisfying and delicious.

Good but almost too spicy...
I have seen Buldak noodles at my local market sold in large multi packs of the same flavor. I have wanted to try them but not wanting to get stuck with a single flavor if it wasn't a flavor I liked. So I was excited to see this variety pack with multi flavors.First off with the spice level. These noodles are on the limit of my spice tolerance if not a little beyond. For reference of my tolerance, I find Siracha and Tapito to be medium to mild in terms of spiciness. These noodles for me range from spicy to almost too spicy to eat. Therefore you'd have to be a true lover of spicy food to enjoy the packets. These noodles are not soup noodles and are saucy noodles that are prepared by cooking the noodles and draining most of the water before you add the spice packet. Therefore they are mean to be more like lo mein noodles. The texture of the noodles is perfectly chewy and the flavor of the few variety packs I've tried so far are pretty good... though they all taste fairly similar. With each packet there is an underlying spicy sauce flavor with then other flavors layered on top like chicken, jajiang, curry, etc. Therefore the flavor from one packet to the next is almost the same with only very subtle differences.Overall I'm enjoying the noodles but they are almost too spicy for my palette. I'm giving these noodles a 5 star because they are pretty good and I can't penalize them because I'm a spice wimp.Review For:[10pack] Multi Flavor Samyang Buldak Extreme Spicy Ramen with Seaweed Variety Pack Chicken Stir Fried (Original Spicy, 2x Spicy, Carbonara, Jjajang, Tomato Pasta, Spicy Stew, Cheese, Kimchi, Curry). Quite impressed actually!
So yeah, we all have a noodle craving at one time or another and when I get that craving, I always tended to go for the usual packs you see on the store shelves. You know the type, soak in water, add flavoring, eat... and they were somewhat enjoyable. Sometimes they were a little hard, sometimes because they were so thin, they'd splash sauce all over you as you ate them. The flavor was........ meh... So when I got these noodles, I was expecting more of the same. Boy was I wrong. 1st of all, the flavor of these is actually quite nice. I really loved the curry ones the best. Then there's the thickness of the noodles. These are not your average store shelf thin stringy noodles. These are thick and lovely and fulfilling. Then there's the heat.... it's not a killer heat, but it's hot enough to make you sweat. Fantastic. Finally there's the sauce and veggies. Unlike most noodles which give you a pack of dehydrated powder to mix in, these noodles have a small freeze dried back of veg you throw in as you boil the noodles for 5 mins, then pour most of the water out leaving only 8 spoons of water in it. You then add the contents of a thick sauce packet that you mix into the cooked noodles. This results in a much more pleasant taste than the powdered variety. So all in all, if you like noodles or know someone that does? These are well worth trying out, tasty, pleasant to eat, and with a hot kick, the perfect snack coming into these cold months.
