Can I give 6⭐️?!
Definitely on a health optimization journey. Postmenopausal. May my energy rest in peace. Have been taking quality methylated multi vitamin that included B6 for quite a while. Still had persistent lack of energy/fatigue. Bought this, and OMG! Life changing! I happen to have the MTHFR gene mutation (fascinating rabbit hole) and this type of B12 is amazing. Good steady energy, not at all like caffeine. Focus improvement, and just a sense of hey there’s hope it’s OK. Take one or two times a day. Amazing. Functional medicine doctor even supported the science behind it. Super light pleasant easy taste (not that that matters-could taste like old shoes & it would still be worth it.

Game changer if you get lethargic and head aches from most b12
I don’t usually write reviews but it really helped me to read others’ experiences. There isn’t much information online about adverse reactions or processing from methylcobalamin or cobalamin b12 supplements, which are most of the b12 supplements out there. My experience consisted of having low b12 and needing to supplement but all the supplements would cause lethargy starting about 2-3 hours after I took the supplement which would lead to shoulder/neck then head tension or a migraine. Higher doses would increase the effect and I had nausea a few times. And these would be from very high quality supplements. I even tried food based lower dose (250% DV) ones and still it had that effect to some, maybe a lesser degree. Dessicated liver seems fine but doesn’t raise the levels enough. It has felt like 5 years of a catch 22 of low b12 and feeling low energy so taking a supplement which makes me feel worse, but still needing b12. So anyways, I don’t know if I have a gene mutation or not. I haven’t been taking this form of b12 for very long but the difference was noticeable on day 1. Each serving size has around 41,000% of b12 and the bottle says to take 1-3 servings a day (1mL or one dropperful). I measured that each dropperful has around 20 drops, so if I take 5 drops I’m getting around 10,000%. Literally that’s all I have needed 1x a day, it’s pretty crazy. I stopped drinking coffee over a year ago but this supplement feels comparable to drinking coffee. Lots of energy and productivity and more of a clear head. I think if I took a whole serving size it would be too much energy!! I’m just so happy to feel like I have made a breakthrough with energy and b12.

Tolerable for an overmethylator
I have homozygous mthfr c677t & ironically Methylated B12 normally gives me major anxiety and jittery feelings and headaches . Figured out I’m definitely over methylating. This form is much better for me. I’m taking an extremely low dose. Since it’s liquid it’s easy to customize my dose down to just a few drops vs a whole dropper. My low b12 and symptoms of it are improving quickly despite the small (tolerable) dose I’m taking. The only side effect was a slight headache the first couple days. So for someone very sensitive like me, this is a great option. Update 7/28/2024: in just as little as 6 weeks of doing these drops (micro dosing basically) my b12 went from low 300s to 670. I stopped supplementing at that point because I noticed that after I’d take it, I’d feel weepy and anxious rather than energetic and focused. I assume just my sensitive body telling me that I didn’t need anymore. This is how you know what’s optimal. I have had several rounds of blood work done since to keep a check on it and my numbers are holding! My low b12 symptoms are gone, and my health & anxiety has improved so much that I’m driving again and not feeling so withdrawn. Really great book suggestions to those considering b12 sups: Dirty genes by Ben lynch and Could it be B12 second edition (I forget the author name.

I like Adenosyl/Hydroxy B12 better than Methyl B12.
I like this form of B12. I used to take a methyl form but didn't want to overdo it so I switched to this one after doing some research about it. Although I don't think I'm currently deficient, I have a history of low B12 and since I don't eat very much meat I try to take this fairly regularly.

It seemed to work at first, but the shot may be better for certain genetics
Some genes make it harder for some people to absorb b12, so this form is supposed to be the easiest absorbed. However, people with FUT2 gene are better off with injected hydroxycobalamin shots. I have many symptoms of b12 deficiency like cognitive issues- finding words to say, memory, extreme fatigue, nerve tingling (sciatica, buzzing in my feet). My doctor refuses to give me b12 shot though many family members need this. The shot they offer is cyanocobalamin, and not the right kind- also in cereals. My labs show b12 in 900s sometimes, but that’s what happens with these genes. The labs show incorrectly, as taken by supplements, but is high because it is not absorbed! They do not have labs to show “active b12” at my doctor/lab. MMA (methylmalonic acid) test being out-of-range is another indication of low b12. Mine was low but not out of range. When I first tried this, I thought I felt better energy and thought nerves felt like they were getting better. But then it did not maintain that feeling. I do have slightly better energy and motivation even though I ran out of this, and better productivity, but it could be other supplements like beef liver I started. I also have low iron.
