works good for what I need and my use
I have built a few RC boat and found for the price this Combo motor and ESC work well for the use I give the boat. This is a 19 foot Cris Craft Dumas about 28"" long . If you want a faster speed boat I would upgrade to a Brushless motor and ESC with a prop for the type of boat , Speeed and weight you want to do. This is more than rast for this boat witha dumas 3 blade prop 1-1/2 LT

Be very cautious.
After a year and a 1/2 of hard racing, the brush motor went out. The ESC was fine no problems. If you're looking for something to replace your motor and ESC I would be cautious about getting this combo.

Little Finicky but finally got it to work for now
Straight out of the very basic box and packaging the instructions speak of a program card that didn't come with it nor do they mention the part# or where to get one. I installed it in an older Traxxas Stampede and at first I couldn't get much power to the motor but after messing with the throttle trim, trigger ratio and reversing the polarity on the motor and remote servo I got it to work decently. In my case, reverse is programmed at like 25% so kinda weak for a 1/10th truck with programming it. I gave it 4 stars because the motor itself for the money seems like a good decent 550. I had to resolder a little resistor on the motor because of the weak solder. Works if you're really just trying to stay cheap.

Handles 3s nicely
Originally purchased this for a rock crawler build but ended up putting just the motor in one of my Tamiya tt02 touring cars and it handles 3s bashing very nicely. I have not used the esc as I am using the esc from the Tamiya kit I think this is a great value for the cost

Used for ECX Boost
I couldnโt fit the cab into the Boost because it has a left on the side of the shaft. I think I could have eventually tweaked the set up to fit but I just used a different t can with a flat end instead. So I havenโt used this motor but the esc works just fine

The esc burnt out in 2 days replaced that just to find motor had eaten itself and seized would definitely not recommend
