I was pleased to see I could buy one all ready to go. It fits perfect around my wood stove, and I feel very good about it doing it's job. HOWEVER I do want to stipulate no child will be unsupervised around it. While it's sturdy, and I'm pleased, it (or any other baby gate) probably isn't infallible, given a hard enough shakedown.
