Is there a rating higher than 5?
Such a great book, if you love the fake dating trope this is the book for you. I can't rave enough about how real the characters are and I truly fell in love with them

this was such a cute fluffy read
i like how Donovan and Jada started out as “enemies” to working together to falling in love. who would have thought a pro football player would own a cupcake shop and bakes for fun? it made no sense but somehow it did.Jada had a huge character development and i love that for her she went from a spoiled rich girl who has everything handed down to her to wanting to do better for herself and actually working towards a goal. she was a bit shallow at first but the gained some depth lol 😂. love that for her.Donovan went from an uptight, only believe in logic know it all to loosening up and being a little spontaneous. also a character development because he was so stuff at first. i’m excited that this is a series and I can’t wait for August’s story!

Cute but Long winded unoriginal grumpy/sunsine
This book had potential and I liked maybe the first six chapters and then it got a little too corny/ cringe/boring/predictable….This is definitely a grumpy sunshine trope and leans towards slow burn. This got boring to me after the first spicy . I actually found myself sort of skipping even that first spicy scene.I like both of the main characters. Great character development. They are cute .Second break ups are so overdone. This book didn’t need any more drama. There was a lot going on in the first place. Social media drama, grandma drama, parent drama, sibling drama, cupcake shop drama. There’s too much going on.I also noticed there were phrases or words used that seemed out of place. I’ve never met a man from Brooklyn who uses the phrase “besotted fool”. And that’s just one example of the many “I’m going to use this phrase or Word because it’s been used in the past to describe this certain thing”.I don’t think I would recommend this book simply because it reminds me of other grumpy sunshine books. as if a bit of every other grumpy sunshine, I’ve read was put into this book. And not in a great way the book was decent, but it’s not a book that I’ll go back and reread like I do with a lot of my favorites.I might read the second book in the series just because I want to see if the writing got better and because I wanna know what happens with August .

Really cute story line
I loved reading this book, from the time I started the 1st chapter of the sample story I couldn’t stop and decided to pay for the book. I plan to read the following book next and follow up with all of this authors books.

cute slow burn
I love that it wasn’t too fast or too slow. It was the perfect amount of longing and growing friendship. It was great to see the fmc come into herself and the banter between the two mains were adorable! I love that the mmc had goals outside of his main jobs I can’t wait for the next book!

Funny and Cute!
I love Jada‘s character, I love how we’re able to see young adults in their mid-20. Still trying to figure it out. A good reminder that you’re not supposed to have life figured out or life isn’t supposed to go a certain way.

Loved the banter
Cute story with a lot of adorable banter. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes when it comes to romance books.Jamie Wesley did not disappoint with the banter and timing of Donovan and Jada’s story. This book also touched on dyslexia in a positive way.I also enjoyed two of the side characters that were introduced as Donovan’s best friends.

Entertaining
But predictable. There was not enough development of their feelings as well as the twist at the end seemed rushed.

good, sometimes wtf
Apart from the fact that this man was LITERALLY growling any time a man talked to Jada and Jada not being able to set a timer at 25 years old I liked it.
