I purchased this for my side gate, which is in an annoyingly unlight area of my yard and many people have a really challenging time finding it! This is perfect for the purpose and so cute too! Our other exterior lighting is a black metal, and while this is plastic, it still fits right in! And no one is going to touch it to see what it's made out of.... but my husband installed it easily into our fence post with the screws included and bam! Perfect solution! It's much brighter than I expected too, for a solar light!

These are light-weight and plastic, but that didn't/doesn't really bother me. We installed them on a gate in full Arizona sun. They look great, but the first few nights only one of the two we bought worked. Then that one stopped working and the other one is on all the time. No rhyme or reason; just faulty lights. Just invest the money in something more expensive.

I bought two (I still have one because I destroyed it while installing*) after I was underwhelmed by the amount of light intensity. Seriously, I think the power light on my DirecTV emits more light. I can honestly say I didn't even realize the lights were on the first time I came home after dark. Oh, and over the next week or so, they were randomly on or off when dark. I took one down (not damaging it) and tested inside... the light sensor worked 20% of the time based on my light on, light off test. In fairness, I tested it 5 times and it did work once. If you buy this, save the packing material and another $6.00 to ship it back. At least I'll feel good since I warned you.*The mounting hole is in the decorative hollow plastic "mounting block feature" and its surface is about 1/2" from the surface your mounting to. This means you need to "spam the 1/2" gap." I'm an idiot because I was installing into brick and, lol in hindsight, used my brand new ramset. It basically exploded the light. Lesson learned. Ramset = powerful. I recommend liquid nails if you are stupid enough to buy this POC and by C I mean QR" "

This lamp performs as advertised. The sensor illuminates the three LED lights and the construction, though a lightweight plastic, is durable.I am only dinging it a star because the yellow LED that is on all the time is so tiny it hardly serves as a light. We have this on the front of our home and hoped to use it to illuminate a dark spot between two windows. You can barely see there's a light on unless you're standing right beneath it or the LED is activated. So while it's a great security light, it's not a great front-of-house light, if that makes sense.

Despite placing these lamps in full sun these lamps are about as bright as a firefly! I replaced the batteries with Duracell and still no improvement.

The units are very nice looking and performed as would be expected the first day as they were not fully charged. Day two was sunny and bright all day and they have an open exposure all day to the sun but they only lasted about an hour and a half. Since then they come on sporadically at dusk never two at the same time. Within two weeks they stopped functioning at all. Once in a while one might come on but not very brightly and for only an hour or so. It has been a couple of months now and they are headed for the trash. So color me disapointed to say the least.

Absolutely love this solar light!! Amber lighting is beautiful,and bright lights illuminate walkway. Stays lit long enough and goes back to amber lighting. I really like that this light comes on as soon as the motion sensor detects movement. Anyone coming to my front door is not standing in the dark and I am able to see who it is before opening the door.

I like this light alot. I have a motion light on our garage, but nothing on the porch. There is a small building off the porch that I mounted this to so that there is just a bit of extra lighting. The light gets a pretty good charge during the day, and the light seems to hold enough charge to be on when needed. The plastic housing concerns me a bit and I'm hoping it will hold up through the winter since it cannot be under cover to be charged. The motion sensor can be positioned, but it is limited to one of 6 areas. Overall, it's a nice light and after seeing how it does during the winter, I may get a second to match.
