Bike Adapter - Rear Disc Brake Adapter for Trek/Gary Fisher Frame - Direct Mount (160mm) - 6061 Aluminum - Black

I knew my 2001 Trek 4300 could accept rear disc brakes, but I wasn't entirely sure of what I needed to make that happen. I received this part and everything made sense; this is what I needed. I believe it will directly mount a caliper to fit a 160mm rotor, but I haven't gotten to that part of my build yet. On receiving the part, I put it on the frame and loosely installed the bolts; it was made to fit perfectly, down to mm precision. Grab this part if you want to breathe new life into that old bike collecting dust in your back room.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I transferred parts from my full suspension to this bike, not realizing the rear brake disc mount did not fit on the frame. I got this in 2 days and relieved that it fits perfectly!

It was the missing link to complete my project. Works wonderfully! Even with hydraulic discs.

Made it work but it was a very tight fit could easily do one bolt but not the other. Tried it several times.

I own a 2001 gary fisher and this part was an exact fit and of good quality too.

These adapters work for older bikes before the caliper mounts converged to a few standards. This is the only place I found online, and I really hit the jackpot here. My daughter's Trek now fashions a fully hydraulic disc brake setup. It made a little girl very, very happy.

I was thinking of retiring my old Klein Palomino mountain bike because I wanted to upgrade some components including adding disc brakes. I could not believe it when I saw this adapter. Fits perfectly. The old Klein lives on.

The threaded holes on the adapter didn't quite line up with the holes on my 2003 Gary Fisher Tassajara. I needed to slightly open up the holes (by less than 1mm) with a round file on the frame to make it fit. With that modification it works great with XT M8100 brake caliper and 160mm disc.
