This is the 3rd Amazon filter I have tried and this one seems to work the best. Keeps the dirt, grass & bugs out of the water at a good price. Also doesn't cause water flow issues which I have had with others.

Less expensive than our local hot tub supplier and appears to be the same quality. The whole fit a little snug but that appears to be the only difference.

I recently, removed a deck surface from a patio and the surrounding concrete of my pool. That alone was a lot of work and a big chore to clean up. My friend George gave me this pump that uses this style filter to help clean the dust and sand out of the pool. After pressure washing and scraping a lot of fine dust was on the pool bottom and my sand filter was just not doing as well as a an element style filter. Having said that, you should know a cheap filter would plug up and collapse as it gets full of debris/powder, this filter has a grid support inside of it to help prevent that. You will still have to clean it before the pressure gets too high, but again it is well made and should serve you well!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I hadn't changed the filter cartridge in 10 years! The new one fits perfectly and works well. A quick rinse once a week, and it hopefully will last another 10 years.

Awesome filter. I clean filter out once a week for my hot tub. Very easy to clean and very affordable. My other filters I have bought in past had to be changed out in replaced in 2 months. I have had the same filter for the last 4 months.

The 2-1/8 holes were a bit undersized and wouldn’t fit the pipe. Heated up one side a bit and it went it nicely.

Arrived quickly. Packing was just adequate as its shipped in a very thin plastic wrap that is probably not as thick as saran wrap. The filter itself is otherwise generic and the filter material looks ok and the plastic interior tube again looks adequate for the job but the plastic is cheap looking. The plastic ends (the blue pieces) again are made of a relatively cheap plastic. When I say cheap, I am comparing them to the filters on Amazon that run $40+ each, but they look and feel like they will "do the job". Time will tell how well the filter works but this is by far cheaper than any other generic filter and if it works without issue, why pay more? That's why I gave it 4 stars because if you're replacing the filter regularly then the issues with plastic thinness aren't relevant because you aren't keeping it long enough to go beyond its design limitations. If you're the type who keeps their filters and cleans them over and over rather than getting a new one, this one may or may not have the same longevity as the ones at $40+ which appear/feel of higher quality. Also keep in mind that the filter itself is there to filter out solid particles of visible/near visible size such as dead skin and debris and perhaps oily residue but its not meant to make your water pristine. A filter is used in conjunction with changing your water regularly and maintaining adequate sanitising levels - it doesn't replace those other two maintenance requirements.

These are a great alternative to the Pool supply store. They seem to clean and last just as long, and honestly we've never noticed a difference :) Will be purchasing again!
