It is really easy to put together and I feel that it could be done by anyone as long as they take their time to look at the instructions or a youtube video on how to put it together. The final product was very nice but a bit flimsy (Which is what all screens are so not really a con there).

The netal is equal in strength to a manufactured screen. It can be bent easilly so I was careful when cutting it with the hacksaw. The pieces come with all parts needed except screening. I also bought a spine roller from desertcart to install the screening that made that easy to do. I have added pictures of the small screen. I also assembled a larger one not sbown.

**Q: I should not have a problem cutting this down to the size that is needed such as 32"X32" or 32"X24", etc?**
A: Yes, you can cut the frame to size, but be very careful with measuring it. Also, note that you should use a metal saw blade when cutting it, if you use tin snips you'll crush the frame and you'll be unable to use it.

**Q: Does this kit have tensioning springs?**
A: Yes. They are shaped like a D; with the long thin piece sliding in at the corner and the ) providing the tension.

**Q: Can I use sun blocker screen in these frames?**
A: I don't see why not unless the sun blocker is that much thicker than normal screen. Even if that is true, I would think your hardware store might be able to sell you a smaller diameter spline that would permit the screen frames to accommodate the sun blocker.

**Q: what is the thickness of frame?**
A: the frame profile is 20mm (wide) x 8mm (thickness). i'm not sure on conversion to inches. hope it helps.

I bought this kit about 18 months ago, way past any warranty. It has sat in the shipping box the whole time. I finally got off my duff to assemble it and what do I see? A structurally compromising dent just about in the center of one piece. Hopefully I can work around it. Beyond the dent the kit looks good, with all necessary pieces being present. I do like how the spline is safely installed in the groove of the frame. The corner pieces seem adequate. The kit also includes two black “handles” and two springs. The 48” x 48” lengths should be enough to make a screen for most windows, maybe even two smaller screens. Ie: 2 at 24” x 48”.
