Review: A great little dictionary for its price - I am using my wife’s account to write my review, but both of us have M.A.’s in Russian, and I’m sure she would agree with my comments. I came across the ad for your Langenscheidt’s Russian dictionary by accident. It is the 2nd edition and appears to be an updated version of the Romanov dictionary that I used 50 years ago. I was very pleased to see that some version is still in print and couldn’t resist ordering it for the sake of nostalgia. We have many other dictionaries now that we accumulated over the years, but this one holds a special place for both of us. It was, and still is, a nice little dictionary. For its size it packs a lot in it--vocabulary and grammar, too. The format with its truncated entries can be a challenge to get used to, but when that happens, it's fairly easy to use for the vocabulary by itself as well as the reference numbers to various declension and conjugation patterns that are elsewhere in the dictionary. For its price, the paper is okay as are the clarity and size of the fonts used. Apparently there were some corrections as well. Our Russian professor looked askance at me when as an undergraduate, I translated мосвкич as Moscower all the years ago, but the Romanov dictionary was connected with the German Langenscheidt company, so the mistranslation (from Moskauer) isn’t really a surprise. Fortunately the dictionary now gives the correct meaning of Muscovite. While going to college, one of the jobs I had was on an assembly line, and I kept the dictionary in my back pocket. When things were slow, I was able to grab the dictionary and read a page or so of the Russian words and their equivalents in English. It was small enough to allow me to do that, yet complete enough to make it worthwhile. I can’t praise this dictionary enough.
Review: Amazing reference for debt collector secret payments - Been using this much earlier than 2020, West Asset Management suggested using Russian banking to settle payments for their interest rates on a debt. If you understand Slavic, learning Russian or catching up is rather easy and there are plenty of teachers in the Sochi area that are great for lesson planbooks. Great book if English is your main language, if a Slavic language is your second this book is a so-so investment unless you need to explain certain usage to an American.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good and handy
*by C***H on February 14, 2020*

Handy size, not too big or small, although I still need reading glasses. Good for a beginner. I did not find some words of course and had to try to figure it out through stems, but for the price if one is on a really tight budget it is still quiet good. Even has conjugation in the last pages which is a biggie in the Russian language, more particularly.
