How should the water bottle cap be assembled?

What material are the basins and the large reservoir bottles made out of? Ceramic, plastic, or something else?

Not sure of the specific materials but the bottles and base are a plastics type material and not ceramic.

Is the opening where the food comes out large enough for larger pieces of kibble? Smaller ones don't work for the kibble my cats eat.

Yes, I think so. I have a cat and the food isn't big but looking at the opening and the tray I believe it would work fine.

Is this made in china?

The ones I got were not marked "made in" from anywhere. I cannot tell for sure.
