Do they come in any other metal than solid 28 karat gold?

Will it still work if I snip the end of the bolt? There is a brick wall behind the draywall I am anchoring to, and the bolt is too long.

Yes, as a general rule, you can always cut machine screws shorter as long as you are careful to clean up the cut end after you cut them.  One trick is to thread a nut on the screw before you cut it, then unscrew it after you make the cut, the nut will straighten out any rolled over threads on the way off the end.  Or, you could cut carefully with an abrasive wheel or dress the end of the screw with a grinding stone.  Even better, chase the threads with a thread cutting die.  Or, just go to the hardware store and buy a shorter screw.  This toggle uses 3/16-24 (often called #10-24) screws.  Available in a variety of lengths pretty inexpensively.

Please Note:   These are made in a variety of sizes, depending on your needs.  Determine your screw size, and order the corresponding size in the Toggler.  By the way, The Toggler Snaptoggle is a terrific asset in mounting things which are fairly heavy.  Mounted a 4 ft. long tool holder.......with these things.  As you can imagine, the total tools stored in the rack are pretty heavy......and it did and continues to do a great job of keeping them securely in place.

Will nylon strap togglers work on a fiberglass shower to hang a fold up seat?

I would be concerned about this application for a few reasons.  If I assume that you are going to have something behind the shower surface itself, such as some seriously thick plywood to provide the backing, then I still have to make a point about the physics involved here.Togglers, and any fastener really, are rated for a certain weight.  If you are hanging a microwave, that weight is fairly static and easy to calculate.You are talking about a seat, and the problem with seats is that humans sit in them and their apparent weight due to the acceleration of gravity is more than the weight of the individual upon impact.  I could pull out a lot of math, but suffice to say that a 200lb person who plops down into a chair, is putting far more than 200lb of strain on the chair at the moment of impact and this is likely to cause something to break and someone to get hurt.  This is why I can drop a bullet and it won't go through anything, but if I accelerate it - it can pierce steel - and bullets don't weight 200lbs.  You can obviously overbuild the solution, but keep in mind that the shower is a very wet place, and wood can rot over time and result in a potentially fatal situation if things go poorly around hard slippery surfaces.So I think the answer is yes, but you are going to want to over engineer your solution and then make it waterproof to a paranoid degree to ward against catastrophic failure or injury.  If the backing behind your shower is not robust enough, it will be like trying to mount a massive TV on sheetrock - the material will give and the mounts will simply rip out of the wall as soon as someone sits on it.
