While exploring his new environment, he meets another boy whose life and circumstances are very different from his own, and their meeting results in a friendship that has devastating consequences. Now available in a gorgeous deluxe edition featuring stunning artwork by award-winning illustrator Oliver Jeffers, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas takes on dramatic new intensity. Review: Enjoyable read - An enjoyable read that keeps us connected at all times. Recommended for those who like to understand a little more about the past. Review: BEAUTIFUL book for children to adults - My son (11 yo) and I each read this book. It is one of those few really important books that will stand out in your life as something you are so glad you experienced. It is easy to read and hits you in the gut. Somehow, reading about the atrocities of the Holocaust through this child's eyes made it more approachable, believable, and beautiful. I've always had trouble understanding how anyone but a monster could have been on the Nazi's side, and this book gave me some insight into how decent human beings might have found themselves there. I feel we need to understand this so it never happens again.

Heartbreaking
Very good book about a good hearted child that ends very sad! Shows that hate is taught and people are not born to hate.

Powerful life lessons
This book made me so sad, but it was so powerful. There were so many valuable insights... We all just need to be like children-- love, forgive, share, see the good, appreciate people, treat people as equals, take advantage of today because you might not have tomorrow... I hope we never forget the lessons of the Holocaust.

Truly heartbreaking....
Every school student should be required to read this novel. Themes crisscross a family's life in the middle of the Holocaust that make it even more insightful for any family anywhere.

Contiene imagenes preciosas

I love drawings so I got this version instead of the fully written original one, love them both equally!

Heart wrenching
No matter what your age this book is a must. My daughters of various ages read this book and each one received something different from it. As an adult I cried knowing what different scenarios in the book meant. Absolutely love this book, so happy we bought this edition. Definitely one to be chestished in our growing library.

Muy linda edición
Esta obra gana mucho con las ilustraciones de Oliver Jeffers y la edición en pasta dura y camisa la hacen inmejorable. Sobra decir que está en inglés y no sé si exista su versión en español.
