Review: Correct item, easy installation, good experience - The adapter was exactly what I needed to install a new stereo in my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. It was a correct fit and worked on the first try. I have never installed a car stereo before, so I was pleased at how easy it was. This wiring harness plugs into the car (more precisely, the plug inside the dashboard which goes to the car), and the wire ends attach to the wire ends of the new car stereo. Color coding is standardized for the wires, so I just had to connect all the wires to the corresponding wire ends on the plug that came with the new stereo. To connect the stripped wire ends, I used crimp connectors and a crimping tool. Other options include twisting the wire ends together and covering with electrical tape, or using twist-on wire caps. But I think the crimp connectors are probably the easiest and most reliable way of doing it. Review: It just works. - My car is a 2000 Mitsubishi Libero JDM, which is a Mirage or Lancer station wagon. (Thank you for your sympathy) And this worked flawlessly. When installing my aftermarket Android head unit, I followed the color coding on the supplied packaging and soldered the ends to the connectors on the stereo and it just plugged in like it belonged there. All the speakers worked, included the rear 2 which are in an overhead housing, which were not working before. Apparently the previous installer had not done his homework when connecting the previous stereo. Recommend for its benefits in installation and overall quality. ## Features - Plugs into Car Harness at radio - Power - 4 Speakers - Made from quality materials - Easy installation ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0002BG6DM | | Best Sellers Rank | #149 in Car Audio & Video Wiring Harnesses | | Brand | Metra | | Brand Name | Metra | | Cable Type | Proprietary | | Connector Type | Proprietary Or Industry-standard Vehicle-specific Connector | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,034 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00086429013128 | | Included Components | Radio Harness | | Item Dimensions | 4 x 0.5 x 3 inches | | Item Highlight | Connects an aftermarket car stereo to the factory plug, no cutting or splicing, color-coded leads, quick adapter install | | Item Type Name | Radio Wiring Harness For Mitsubishi 1992-Up | | Item Weight | 13.61 g | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 4 x 0.5 x 3 inches | | Manufacturer | METRA Ltd | | Material | Copper, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) | | Material Type | Copper, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) | | Model | 70-7001 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 70-7001 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Car | | UPC | 086429013128 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Please contact the manufacturer | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Metra - **Connector Type:** Proprietary Or Industry-standard Vehicle-specific Connector - **Item Weight:** 13.61 g - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 4 x 0.5 x 3 inches - **Material:** Copper, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) ## Images ![Metra 70-7001 Radio Wiring Harness for Mitsubishi 1992-Up - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61CS6PkcKsL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: does this work for 2001 eclipse gt v6** A: yes **Q: How many pins are on this and will it fit a 2002 Lancer ES** A: Not sure of pins offhand, but yes it will fit your car. **Q: Does this work for 2007** A: it should.
