3600XB Review: Works as well as the larger models and is super portable - I bought this for a TV I mounted and I didn't want to have any DVD players, Sound Bars, Subwoofers, etc... hanging off of it. This was perfect. It works just as well as my other "full" Roku device. The WiFi setup was simple and I've not had any issues so far with the network lagging. The picture quality if super clear. The best part is it's powered off the USB port in my TV. In other words, the "stick" plugs into an HDMI port. Then, it's powered by a micro-USB to full-USB cable you use to connect the stick to any powered USB port on the TV. You may want to check before buying to ensure you have a powered USB port on your TV. If you don't, you still have the option to plug this in. As an unexpected bonus, when going on vacation, it's super easy to pull this thing out of the TV and take it with us. It actually worked quite well streaming video in a hotel room with a bit of engineering. It doesn't have the menus built-in to the Roku to attach to hotel wireless and get you past the hotel sign-up screen you get when you first connect. So I did that through my phone and then enabled the mobile hot-spot functionality on my phone. Then I connected the Roku to my phone's hotspot. It worked like a champ with only a tiny bit of lagging every once in a while. Review: Very Good Product - Very easy to use. I have had this particular Roku Stick for about 5-6 years, and it still works like new. My 70 year old dad came to visit once, and begged me to get him one - he'd been using a Blu Ray player that could connect him to Netflix and everything and he had such a hard time figuring out how to use it that he never did. He's been using the Roku stick for a while now and only needed instructions once, maybe twice (the second time was only because he had some internet problems and he got a whole new wifi name, and didn't realize this would affect his Roku). This is a man that needs help sending pictures that are already on his smart phone to a friend via text.

Love it!
This is my first Roku product. I got frustrated with my Chromecast not casting Amazon prime, plus the quality looked bad on my TV. I bought the refurbished 3600 streaming stick because for one, as frustrated as I was with my Chromecast, it's all I ever knew of streaming devices. Second, I wanted to stay as close to my $35 Chromecast just Incase I wasn't happy with the Roku stick. The Roku stick arrived early, which was a bonus, and surprisingly more simple to set up than my Chromecast. I like the remote, actually...I LOVE the remote. It's nice to be able to use my phone, but for my 7 year old who is not allowed on our smartphones, finding TV shows with the Chromecast was difficult. (We only stream TV, we cut the cord over a year ago). My 7 year old easily can navigate through the home screen, and search using the remote. But she also found out (something she taught me and dad) she can cast her YouTube videos on the TV via the cast button as well. I also love the quality of video. My Chromecast claimwdbto cast at 1080p, but it was always bad, colors were off even, and with the fastest available cable internet available in my rural area (the middle speed out of 3 choices. It's 15,30, or 50mpg's or something, im not sure the lingo for speed) our Chromecast constantly buffered and crashed. A month before buying the Roku I lowered my internet connection to the slowest speed available because of money. The Roku stick, on with the lowest cable internet package available, and with 3 smartphones, a Dell desktop running Windows 10, and a nabi dream tab ALL connected to my wifi, streams beautiful picture quality with no buffering. My TV is worth watching again! I can access content not available on my Chromecast (Amazon prime for example) and again, i can't stress how much I love the home screen and remote. My husband is also very happy with the product, to the degree we will be buying another one cause our Chromecast is laying in a dresser drawer, and we move the roku stick from the living room to the bedroom TV. And in the end, my awesome refurbished streaming stick cost LESS than the Chromecast, and was shipped to my mailbox. After taxes, the 18mile drive one way to Walmart to buy the Chromecast, and 18miles back, the $5 dollars more for the refurbished stick was way less in the end. And I don't know if this is a good thing or not, haha, but we enjoy watching TV again! (Maybe too much since I'm getting less sleep catching up on shows on Amazon I haven't been able to watch!!!) Thanks for this wonderful product!

Use TV USB power > provided wall plug and save yourself a headache.
Good product, works more or less as advertised. If your tv has a usb port, I recommend using that for power instead of the provided wall adapter. If you do use the wall adapter, make sure to unplug it when it's not in use. If it stays on continuously for too long, it starts acting funny and the remote (which is not IR) communicates with it the entire time which drains batteries very quickly. It got to the point where I had a few alkaline batteries start leaking inside the remote from being discharged too fast (Duracell, not knock-off brand). Once I got that sorted, my only complaint is that is starts playing shows when I select them to read the descriptions (instead of waiting for me to push "play") which is super annoying, but I suspect it's Netflix's app, not Roku's fault, so there's hope of it being updated to get fixed someday (in 2037 or thereabouts)

Love this little plug in Roku stick. It has a very fast speed and no buffering. Thanks Roku you have outdone yourself at a very reasonable price.

Awesome little gizmo. Gives me a lot more selection than my Sony Smart TV. It loads super fast. There are even apps to pick up a few free local live TV stations so you can cut the cord. Plugs discretely into an HDMI outlet on the back of your TV. You can plug it into the wall for power, but I plugged it into another port for power. All wires hidden behind the TV. No clunky box sitting on my media center, super easy to use, Roku has the apps organized so they are super easy to find. Popular apps include Netflix, YouTube, Crackle, and all the usual, along with apps I have never seen before, but are very nice to have. Only one complaint. There is no Amazon Prime Video app. I had to mirror my phone to watch Amazon Prime on the TV. Very disappointed as the picture lags here and there when using mirroring to stream. This is why I removed one stat. If they add the Prime Video app, I will add a star.
