The unit is very solid, made of metal with a strong kickstand-type support that allows the user to position the unit at different angles. The cord is long enough that the user is afforded some flexibility as far as finding a comfortable position during treatment. The light itself is insanely bright. I realize this is how red light therapy works, but with this unit, you almost have no choice but to look at it for at least a second to turn it on and toggle to the setting you want. I suppose with time you might get comfortable enough that you can operate the two buttons blindly as it’s not all that difficult, but be prepared the first time you turn on the unit. A pair of safety goggles resembling swim goggles are included, and work to black out all the light.The preset time is ten minutes, and it doesn’t appear this can be changed. Since the recommended treatment time is ten minutes, this makes sense. If you want to treat more than one area, you’ll need to restart the unit.I’m happy with the unit. I’ve been using it to treat chronic knee pain and it seems as though my knees feel somewhat better after using this device for a while. I plan to continue in hopes for even more improvement.If you’re in the market for a small, portable red light therapy device, you can’t go wrong with this one.

The light is surprisingly well made, the body is made if strong metal and the size is compact. The light looks identical to a few indoor plant growing lights that i have, it would make sense that they would use the same design since those lights are meant to be used daily and usually last a really long time. Just like plant lights, this light also has internal fans to cool the LEDs for lengthy use.Besides being really well made, the size is very nice. The only downside to the small size is that they had to make the power supply fairly large. The power brick is inline so the actual connector doesent take any extra space on the wall socket. The power cable is also pretty long so it would be like using a larger than average laptop power cable.As for usability, the light has two light wavelengths made by the red and infrared LEDs. What these lights do is reach below the skin instantly to apply therapy heat more efficiently. The red light helps skin produce collagen and help with blood flow, infrared goes in deeper helping muscles and bone to heal wounds or reduce inflammation.These lights are not good to stare at for eye safety reasons but there is an included pair of googles which should be used every time the light will shine at your face. Operation is very simple since the light is time set and either light can be used at a time or both together. The light also has a stand to prop it upwards.Overall this light looks to be really good for the price, red therapy lights in general are pricey but i haven't seen one built this well at this price before.

I don't workout at Planet Fitness anymore and missed the red light therapy. It helps with sore muscles and decreases recovery time. So I got this one to try and sure enough- it works great! Works just as good as theirs! Good quality red light, easy to use.

I got this because I had read about the benefits of light therapy and found it intriguing. My main purpose was to help with acne (adult acne is just a cruel joke) and also fine lines that are slowly showing. So while looking for help in one area, I found help in another. I suffer from chronic headaches and rhinosinusitis. This actually helped with both. Now you will not notice a difference the first time. This takes a few months to really feel the effects of red light therapy. For me, this was a complete game changer. My pain relief medicine use has decreased. This red light therapy device is compact and easy to use. It has 20 red LED lights and 20 near infrared LED lights all with individual lenses. It does a pretty decent job of relieving my joint pain and helping with circulation and recovery. The actual power output is 50W according to the specs.I really like that the device is compact and yet has a decent amount of power to do the job. It is about 9" x 5" x 1" in size and 2.6 lbs. in weight. It has an all-metal casing with a built-in cooling fan and a folding stand at the back for easy setup. It operates on 12VDC and comes with an AC power adapter. You can select red light only, near infrared light only or both, depending on your needs.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this RLT device. The compact size allows for quick setup and easy storage. It is well built and packs decent power to do the job. The only minor issue I have with it is that I have to set it up very close to my joint, 6 inches or less, in order to feel the relief. Anyway, it is worth giving it a try. It is easy to use and gets the job done pretty well.
