Eternal Echoes: Songs and Dances for the Soul. Itzhak Perlman
Every morning I start my day off by putting this disc on to listen to the Hebrew cantor and one of the greatest violinists in history bring peace to my soul. I do not understand Hebrew but the peace is there. Really a great addition to any collection.

Beautiful
I bought this primarily to hear Itzhak Perlman play Jewish music, not to hear a cantor sing. At first, I was disappointed to hear less Perlman than I'd anticipated ... then I listened a second time, a third time. Now, this is what I pop into my cd player when I'm driving, what sings in my head for hours after. This rich, beautiful music has turned out to be an unexpected gift.

Can't go Wrong With Perlman
You cant go wrong with Itzhak Perlman. If you enjoy classical music you will love this. If you are looking for Klezmer wedding music and rousing clarinet music, go elsewhere. Relaxing music. You do not have to be familiar with the Jewish music to enjoy this CD but it probably would be even more enjoyable if you are.

Try it out, you'll like it!
I'm not Jewish nor do I understand the language of the Cantor, but the music of Yitzchak Meir Helfgot and Itzhak Perlman is very inspiring. Listening to this music immediately put me in a good mood. Most music is good for the soul but this music is several cuts above what you listen on a daily basis.

Drippy-Schmaltzy-Lovely!!!!
I really like this CD. I realize it's an acquired taste. Of course Perlman is exquisite. The singing is -- how to describe this --.....I a guy once told me, right in the middle of shul, that it was more like a Jewish "opera". It's a bit schmaltzy-drippy with "Jewish" drama in the singing, and over done -- look, I"m trying to be nice. You come to expect this schmaltzy drippy stuff, depending on where you attend on Saturday mornings! It's even a bit tongue-in-cheek. What I listen to depends on what mood I"m in. Knowing that going in, it's a worthwhile purchase. and if you ever lose this, you can always watch "Teviah" in Fiddler on the Roof(If I were a rich man ....)!The music is about neck-and-neck in comparison. Anyway, I LOVE IT! Have fun, all you little Bubbes (grandmothers) out there!

lovely and vivacious Hebrew music
very interesting music. Bought a few for my Jewish friends who were familiar with it and they all enjoyed it a great deal. It would have been more interesting if there were a little booklet translating the meaning of the music. I assume some was holy and others regular music.

Music from the Soul
Itzhak Perlman and Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot celebrate the ancient traditions of Jewish culture on this CD. It evokes admiration for classic cantorial music and presents klezmer musicians at their best. Many selections may be unfamiliar to casual listeners of Perlman's brilliant artistry, but this collection reinforces his reputation as a soul-inspired performer without equal.

Touching, meaningful interpratation and melodies
Most of the tunes are well know, and they are elaborated in a inspiring new beautiful way. I first had to get used to the resonant voice of the cantor but then I liked it and of course Perlman play melodically, light and intimate as ever.

Music that delights the soul.
This CD is a treasure for my soul. I am grateful for the thoughtful selections of music that are contained in this one CD. I am overwhelmed by how much is offered for such little cost. It is a generous gift of kindness from two incredible musicians.

Fantastico
