I used a 5mm hook, even with this being very thin, maybe fingering weight. But it turned out so pretty!! It was really big, though. I had to skip a little bit of the yarn here and there to get to the end colors without the shawl turning into a blanket. I wish I would’ve skipped a bit of the purple at the beginning to be honest, but all in all I was very happy with this yarn! I tried the scheepjes yarn first and made a shawl with it, and I loved it but yarn art is cheaper so I wanted to try it out and compare the two. In my opinion, the color transition was smoother on the scheepjes whirlyarn, and I was more of a fan of the feel of the scheepjes I think, but that’s really just personal preference. The scheepjes is 60% cotton/ 40% acrylic, where the yarn art is 55% cotton/ 45% acrylic. The yarn art is a bit softer I think but I preferred the 60/40 blend of the scheepjes slightly more.
