## Description

Optimum algae control: algae in an aquarium are not only unsightly, they can also inhibit the growth of water plants and upset the biological balance in the aquarium on a long-term basis. Tetra AlguMin combats all types of algae effectively and is gentle for all aquarium inhabitants, plants and microorganisms if used as indicated. The liquid formula tackles algae quickly because the highly active ingredient specifically attacks the algae’s metabolism and effectively prevents algae growth. As the active ingredient is released immediately and distributed optimally in the aquarium water, Tetra AlguMin can combat algae quickly. The product does not discolour the aquarium water. Tetra AlguMin is suitable for all freshwater aquariums. When using this product, the aquarium needs to be aerated, for example using a Tetra APS aquarium air pump, to ensure a sufficient oxygen supply. Dead algae should preferably be removed mechanically, with a net, so that they do not have a negative impact on the water quality. After treatment, to prevent new algae growth in the long term, the algae nutrients phosphate and nitrate should be reduced, e.g. with Tetra EasyBalance. As a preventive measure, special anti-algae agents which release their active ingredient slowly into the water can also be used on a regular basis, such as Tetra Algetten for aquariums with a capacity of up to 40 litres or Tetra AlgoStop depot for medium and large aquariums.

Review: Patience is key - “Good at tackling algae, but requires patience and good tank habits.” I’ve used Tetra AlguMin several times in my freshwater aquarium. It’s very easy to dose — just measure 5 ml per 10 litres — and it disperses quickly without clouding the water. Within a few days I noticed most green algae on the glass and decorations starting to die off, and after a week or so the tank looked noticeably cleaner. That said, it’s not a magic bullet. Black beard algae and some stubborn blue-green patches didn’t disappear completely after the first dose. I also had to manually remove dead algae and make sure my filter and aeration were running well, otherwise oxygen levels dipped a little. Overall, AlguMin is a good product to control light to moderate algae growth if you combine it with proper maintenance (water changes, balanced lighting and feeding). I’d recommend it as part of a broader algae-management plan rather than a one-time cure.

Complètement et immédiatement efficace contre les algues dans mon petit aquarium, je suis convaincu, et je recommande ! L'eau redevient et reste durablement cristaline, et les poissons ne souffrent nullement de ce traitement, bien au contraire ils nagent dans le bonheur !
