Dritz 620 Sewing Gauge

This sewing gauge is perfect for my current needs. I want to be able to roll in and out the backdoor onto our deck, but can't due to uneven surfaces. This little gadget measure so accurately I can now order exacting the sloping strips to make a fairly easy transition. BTW, the reason is because I'm in a wheelchair and my husband is not always available to roll me outside. I like be independent and still do most of the cooking and kitchen cleanup. I forgot to mention it has an sliding indicator for exact measurement. Used it on hems many a time, but now it serves an even more important purpose.

The gage is better than most you see in discount stores. Tight fit - holds & doesn’t slip. I would suggest to be careful if using on delicate fabric.

Basic sewing must have

Good quality sewing gauge ruler. Very useful for measuring while sewing or quilting. The plastic slider stays in place unlike cheaper items. This is definitely "you get what you pay for". The inexpensive set of 5 I bought thinking I was getting a bargain went to recycle. One good quality ruler is so much better than 5 inferior quality items.

This works as intended and has helped me for my project. I was able to get great results! I did think the metal part was a bit flimsy and light but as long as you aren't misusing the item, it'll be fine. I am also concerned about the sturdiness of the plastic slider but again, I think it's fine for regular use. I think this item will be great to keep in my bag of sewing tools for gentle use. I do wish the item was sturdier overall but again, it works. I also wish the blue plastic piece were a little longer width wise.

One day I was struggling to hem up some pants. Really having a hard time with it - getting them even all around and even with each leg. It was really annoying. And then I had a flashback of my mom's sewing room and the little gadget she had. This is the gadget and it works really well. It just makes it really easy to get the right length. (First you have to decide what length you want, that's the hard part now.) Once you decide what length you want, move the little part to the right place and then use it to measure around your pants as you pin them up - or iron them - however you usually do it. Some people say the little moveable part is flimsy, I didn't have any problems, but I'm pretty gentle with things. I'm really happy that I found this item - especially since I didn't know what it was called. It was very much worth the price and I highly recommend this tool. It's so much easier to use than a ruler. I no longer dread hemming pants, and as a short person I always have to hem them.

I am not sure what to say besides this works great and has helped me a lot when doing various sewing projects. It is small and fits in my sewing drawer nicely.

These are the BEST sewing gauges, NOT cheap knockoffs. This is the kind I used for years for dressmaking and costuming. Don't bother with the cheap, flimsy ones that cannot be properly used. The cheap ones' sliders WILL NOT hold where you set them. BUT THESE DO IT PROPERLY.

This is an amazing sewing tool. I was concerned with the colour, would have liked a replacement for an old light coloured seam guide, but thrilled with how it shows up on fabric. Good communication on the delivery process. So, very happy with my purchase.

Excellent cost to quality ratio. This seam gauge is exactly what I was hoping for. It's made of metal with a plastic slide. The markings are all clearly marked and I find it easy to use. I would definitely buy it again if needed.

Para quienes nos gusta coser, este es buen producto por que es fácil de usar y ayuda a que todo quede mas exacto, por ejemplo midiendo el ancho de bastillas, medida exacta entre botón y botón, etc, etc.

Much better quality than the cheap one I've been using.
