I've been buying these for a couple years for our 2 guinea pigs. They're pricey, and the pigs chew them up plus the bottom gets soiled, so over time I've become skilled at extending their life, so I wanted to share with others. First tip: save the half-chewed up huts! All sides easily come apart so I keep the old ones in the garage then use the sides to make new ones and repair ones that are chewed up (they always only chew one side, but not the same side every time). So buying a 2-pack lasts me a few months now. Just piece them together with zip ties (buy bigger ones, the zip ties they include are tiny and hard to work with). Tip 2: the bottom gets soiled and rots away so I found a bed that fits perfectly, it's sold here now under "MuYaoPet Rabbit Guinea Pig bed." Btw these beds will last literally forever, even machine washed and dried, you won't find a better item on here, trust me, I've tried a ton of them over the years! But you could use a folded up towel or whatever in the bottom. I started filling up just these huts with pine shavings and our pigs absolutely love them! I use fleece throughout the cage, so I thought this would be messy but barely a shaving ever leaves the huts, the pigs don't kick them out or anything to my surprise. My pigs literally live in these huts, I have them in both top lofts of our massive 6ft C&C cage (guineapigcagestore dot com). And last tip:. if you buy cheap you buy twice with guinea pig stuff! The more expensive stuff lasts forever, the cheap stuff shrinks and tears, etc., so you spend more in the long run. If you buy the fleece from this website, it will literally last you forever. The Etsy ones were much thinner, shrunk, and just weren't as sturdy overall).

My rabbit loves these houses. There’s two in a package and yes, he does eat them, but it keeps him from eating other things. Lol! They are smaller than I expected them to be. I expected them to be a little bit bigger, but I understand why they’re small because it kind of is like a hutch where the rabbits can go inside to be in a dark quiet place. As for construction. It was easy. The second time around I bought a package of those little fuzzy mats that go at the bottom of the den, And he crawls in there and likes the dark. I also do NOT use that burlap cording AN . I use small zip ties. I attach some pictures to show how I zip tie the sides and the tops it makes it more sturdy the other way when I tried it with the burlap string it was falling over & all over the place. He couldn’t hop on it either. Now that I use the zip ties, its much better! I also included a picture of the little zip ties that I bought at Lowe’s & you can also buy the zip ties on Amazon! IMPORTANT!!: Don’t forget to cut the ends off the zip ties when you’re done securing them because they can poke the rabbit or other pets in the eye!

I don't know if I received a faulty one or what, but this was a huge waste of money. It needed assembled, but there were no instructions. It included twine and zip ties, but no idea how to use them? It would not stay together. Wish I never bought this junk.

Our rabbit loves to hide in and munch on this box. We are able to rotate it a couple of times to get some extra use out of a new “floor” and love that we can throw this in the compost when there isn’t much life left in it. We’ve bought these multiple times and will continue to do so!
