Cleans clothes and good exercise
I tested Dezitrek out first on the dog's towel and a filthy kitchen rag. Both came out smelling clean. Next I tried a half load of underwear and a shirt. Great results. Then a load of 2 t-shirts, 1 pj pants, and multiple pairs of socks (basically filling the bag up to the highest line) - that was some serious exercise, but everything still came out clean.I do follow slightly different directions than what's on the bag. The very first time I used it I had some trouble filling the bag with water, keeping it upright while stuffing the rags in. After that I put the clothes in first and then added the water. The other thing I do differently is after plunging the clothes for a few seconds (basically making sure everything is submerged and mixing the soap in) I close the bag up and let things sit for 20 minutes or so, then plunge again for a few minutes before dumping the water out. I've found that pulling the clothes out and squeezing the dirty wash water out does make rinsing them easier. The last tip I have is to use a laundry bar as it is significantly easer to rinse the soap out. I also add washing soda and borax (very small amounts) to the wash water.Just a note of caution - there's some stitching on the bottom of the bag. I don't know if they are just decorative or practical, but it is an area that gets a lot of wear and tear and in some areas the stitching is already coming loose. Even so the bag is not leaking. I have some plumber's tape waiting if needed.

Functionality, quality, ease of use
The most outstanding features of this product are the simplicity of the design (making for easy use) and quality of the (few) materials used. Material-wise the fiber-reinforced PVC bag provides the flexibility, elasticity, and resistance to microbial (mold) growth needed to be a superior product for this use. My initial use test of this product confirmed that it will be an excellent gift to our Scoutmaster son who leads his troop of boys on extensive backpack outings. With lake and creek water usually available, the 'aroma of backpacking boys' should be so much better. The one thing my test did identify was how much we all should appreciate our washing machines when we have this marvelous device available! But, when it is not, this Dezitrek bag met my challenging large--the photo shows it all--2-1/2# load of clothes. While this was not initially intend to be 'bag full', considering the almost 2 1/2 gal of water needed to saturate the clothes and provide some circulating water to plunge them, I unintentionally ended up at the top line of the bag and, in my opinion, a max-capacity load test. Although the Dezitrek was capable to perform this challenge, I would not advise doing such a large load routinely. This is because, with the saturated clothes weighing 25#, the effort needed to plunge , squeeze / drain and the 6 rinse cycles needed-- to get a final flow of mostly clear water--my washing was just a lot of work! I suspect I contributed to this challenge by starting with too many clothes and using too much detergent. The solution is simple--fewer clothes at a time and a minimal amount of soap. This will make using this hand-washing bag so much easier to use and a much more efficient process! I highly recommend this product for off-grid use!

Good camping or traveling
We used this for washing our clothes while traveling abroad. It was great for small items like underwear and shorts. Definitely wouldn’t recommend big items or things that take longer to air dry like jeans. It packed super easily and it helped to use it to hold dry clothes in the suitcase. Using the laundry detergent sheets helped to also cut down on space and it worked well with the washing bag. It’s super thick plastic and very durable. I highly recommend for camping and traveling, it’s good quality for the price. The carry bag was very nice too.

Pretty great for the application
I actually use this at home to hand wash items and I love the plunger. Few minor points to note. The bag is light weight and durable, but it will be weighty to a degree when filled with water and clothes so yes the product is light weight but that doesn't mean it won't have some weight when used and you will feel it. The nozzle is a little big for washing smaller socks and it would be nice to be able to hook the cap out of the way rather than unscrew the whole cap assembly from the bag. The stabilizing strap could dual as a handle if it was designed better. Still all in all great value for the money. Very easy instructions printed right on the bag and plunging really helps agitate and suds the clothes without having to turn the clothes by hand or shake the relatively heavy-ish bag when it's filled.

Not a gimmick, great piece of gear.
When we bought this, I honestly thought that it would be a disappointing gimmicky gadget. I was wrong. It is a very simple device that will certainly make you think, "I could have just thrown this together", but there are a few little features that make it worthwhile. Here are my findings after spending 10 days in the backcountry with a family of 3.1. Great for getting kids involved in the camp laundry process. There are lots of places they can easily help, my 6y/o was all about it.2. It works. Plain and simple.3. It all held up after 10 days of daily use. No signs of failure.4. The second spout on the dry bag is fantastic. After plunging, you can seal up the top, open the side spout, and kneel on the bag to squeeze as much water as possible out of the clothes. You will still have to do some hand-wringing before you can hang up the clothes to dry.5. Really doesn't use much water. I would say about 1 gallon per "load" for wash and rinse.I appreciate the thought someone put into the system and I would gladly buy another.
