It's essentially a large, durable dry bag with a textured, flexible "washboard" surface built into the inside. The idea is simple: you toss in your clothes, some water, a bit of detergent, seal it up tightly, and then you just rub your clothes against that textured internal surface from the outside of the bag. I've used it a few times now. Once for some socks and underwear on a weekend camping trip – worked like a charm for getting the grime out. The second time was for a couple of silk blouses that usually get hand-washed in the sink. This was actually *way* easier and less messy than trying to scrub them by hand in a basin. The large size is great; it's big enough for a decent handful of smaller items or maybe 2-3 larger shirts, but still folds down surprisingly compact when you're done. It really does mimic the action of a traditional scrub board, but without the bulk or the splashing mess. This is great if you're traveling or need a temporary means of washing clothes. Even if you're a hard-core minimalist or off-gridder, there's better options if you're looking for something for long term use. It works as advertised, but not as convenient once you get to using it. In my opinion a 5 gallon bucket is better and easier to set up. I still enjoy using this, but it feels like it will rip or spill. I will definitely use it for emergencies. I can see it being useful if you travel a lot. Do be mindful of where you set the bag down to avoid ripping.

I am loving this wash bag so much! I don't have a working washer/dryer in my home so I started using this as an alternative and I couldn't be happier. Not only do I get a work out, I am rewarded with fresh clean clothes at the end.

as some folks have noted, this is a nice manual no-electricity method to take care of handwashing clothes if a washer is dead or otherwise out of reach. the footprint is small. the bag folds nicely, the plunger stick can be disassembled from its head, the side screw-on valve for water to exit is a great touch on what otherwise appears to be a fold-down dry bag that is coated and otherwise hopefully reasonably heavy-duty. running through a couple rounds with this gadget, i've found that while it may do the trick for lighter-duty items -- spring or summer clothes, light fabrics, quick dry types -- for heavier items such as towels or blankets, it doesn't work quite as well. or perhaps it would but not without extended effort plunging and longer waiting times and the like. heavier fabrics take more work to penetrate. there's a reason why washers usually have reasonably high-powered motors. to assume that using this gadget requires no manual effort is to delude yourself. it's a moderate amount of effort to do some extended plunging, to manually wring out the bag between washes/rinses, and also to manually wring out clothing items afterwards to finish out the process. it makes you appreciate how much less work you do by letting a washer do its thing. but in its absence -- say, during travel, or without access to a washer -- this will certainly be a low-footprint alternative. 4 stars because of the price. while i imagine you could stuff queen-sized sheets, or a thinner queen-sized blanket into this to wash, i think you'd also be giving yourself no less than at least 20 minutes of work -- plunging, rinsing, wringing, repeat -- so consider the cost of labor if that's where you're headed.

Arrived nicely packaged and easy to use. I have been washing items in the sink. This makes it so much easier. We can also use it when we go camping. But for the now, it's been a life saver.

This thing works great!! A regular washer takes 2hrs, this thing takes 6 minutes. Clothes are clean, smell great

I bought this item because I am planning to drive across the country car camping. This worked very well for my laundry. Even without purchasing their wringer, the clothes dried in 1/2 a day. I will use it on days I plan to stay in one location for a day or two. Its vert sturdy and packs well

We bought this for rinsing our cloth diapers while camping and it's perfect for that. Give a really good rinse when no bidet is available.

J'etait pas capable de dévisser le plunger alor j'ai pris des pince pour essayer de le d'évisser c'est extrêmement fragile je l'ai utiliser pendants 1 mois c'est tres long a laver le linge et ca n'enlève pas les taches d'huile ou de gras! Ca ne vaut rien!
