This USB-C hub has been a godsend for my MacBook Air. It has a fantastic selection of ports, including HDMI, Ethernet, USB-A, USB-C, and SD card slots. The HDMI output is capable of 4K@60Hz, which connects to my Samsung QLED Monitor and displays a crystal clear image. The Ethernet port performs very well, providing a reliable wired network connection. I was able to achieve fast and stable download and upload speeds comparable with the built-in gigabit port in my Windows laptop. One minor point is that when I have a power adapter plugged into the hub, it does get a bit warm to the touch. However, this is completely normal and it remains safe to use even when warm. The heat dissipation seems adequate. Overall, this is a very capable and versatile USB-C hub that provides a great selection of ports in a compact form factor. The key functions like Ethernet and HDMI work flawlessly. It was so good I bought a second one which is permanently connected to my MacBook Pro on my desk.

Although I've only used this hub for 1 day I wanted to share some product feedback but also guidance to others who might be wanting to use in the same manner that I am. The short version is that this device works perfectly. Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI with 4K at 60hz, Power Delivery goes from 65W power supply to 60W reported by the laptop. The Model is CM512, Part Number 60515. My set-up Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2i OS: Windows 10 Usage: Desktop Dock Devices connected: HDMI: Monitor Ethernet: Gigabit switch Power Input: Lenovo 65w charger USB 3.0 Dell Wireless keyboard & mouse receiver USB 3.0 Plantronics USB Speakerphone Connected to the ThinkPad using the laptop USB-C Dock port I got this hub to use as a dock to avoid having to plug/unplug the above devices everyday, it was not to provides ports that are missing on the laptop (they are all there). I was concerned about whether the laptop's 65W charger would still be able to charge it when connected as pass-through. And it does, just about. The power rate drops from 65W to 60W, the laptop still reports it's being charger, but it's not close to the actual rate possible. I had the laptop working in this set up for an hour when the battery was at 100%, after the hour the battery was at 99%. This does not create a problem for me as even a drop of 10% after 8 hours of work would still acceptable. I am looking into another USB-C power supply, it will probably be an 80W or greater, which will be to power this unit and the laptop's power supply will then be available for trips. For those wondering, the ethernet adapter is ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. The hub was Plug n Play for Windows, did not ask for any drivers. Pictures are attached for the LAN speed, LAN driver details, and HDMI 4K display refresh rates support. BTW the HDMI was tested on an LG C1 4K TV which support 120hz. Overall I'm happy with this hub, does everything I need it to do.

Plugged this into my PC to test with my 240Hz monitor @ 1080p - works fine. Plugged this into my Galaxy S23 Ultra (with Good Lock and high refresh rate enabled) and the same monitor and I get 144Hz @ 1080p. For comparison, I have another USB-C to HDMI cable and when I use that directly from my phone to my monitor, I get 240Hz @ 1080p with Samsung Dex. To do network testing, I set up a laptop plugged in over ETH hosting an Open Speed Test server. Then I did 2 test scenarios from my Galaxy S23 Ultra: 1. WiFi 2. 1Gb ETH using this adapter The results were disappointing. As you can see from my screenshots, WiFi did much better. However, for my real intended purpose: I bought this adaptor so I could use gigabit Ethernet and drive my TV (Samsung NU8000) with 120Hz @ 1080p with Samsung Dex. This is the most disappointing because no matter what I tried, the phone video to TV is always stuck at 30Hz at either 1080p or 4k. Clearly this adaptor can do high refresh rate it is just unfortunate that it does not get along with my TV... For comparison, with the previously mention USB-C to HDMI cable, I get 60hz on my TV at 1080p and 4k. So I don't understand why using this adaptor only runs at 30Hz. It is also disappointing that WiFi on my phone does better than ETH with this adaptor. The build quality is great, I love UGREEN, they make quality stuff and if ETH worked at full gigabit speed as expected, this would get 5 stars, but for now it's only 4.

I was looking for a USB hub that could connect my 2023 MacBook Air M2 15" to an external display (1080p, 60Hz) via HDMI, and could support USB-A connection for a SanDisk memory stick. This device so far has carried out these tasks well. It does get a little warm during use, but not enough to cause concern. The braided cable and metallic body make it more durable and premium than other hubs I have used. I have not attempted to charge my laptop using the USB-C port, nor have I utilised the Ethernet or SD ports, but for the purposes stated above it performs as expected. I am pleased with and recommend this item.

A great and useful tool in a tiny package, great connectivity at fast pace

No HDMI output when connected to an Asus CX1 Chromebook. Bit annoyed, as I checked whether this would work via the Amazon Q&A and received a reply from Ugreen to say that it would. Reason I checked is that an earlier Ugreen 5in1 version had the same issue but wasn't listed as Chromebook-compatible, whereas this version claims to be. Another, HDMI-only dongle works OK so it isn't the CX1's USB-C port or the lead / monitor. The other ports (Ethernet, PD passthrough, (micro)SD and USB-A) work OK. Returned for refund.

Love the functions on this little hub, SD card transfer speeds are great at 600mbps and the ethernet reaches 821mbps. Only wish that there was one more of each usb port as this was the selling point of my previous one, otherwise, it does an excellent job. The build is sturdy and I am hoping this will last me a year at least. Does make a noise sometimes when I connect a high watt charger, but has stopped in the past 2 weeks.

✅ HDMI works flawlessly. Have had other cheaper ones where it flickers or screen goes off or the screen goes green. None of that with the ✅ Ethernet helps keep a wired connection when I need it ❌ Sometimes gets a bit hot but all these converters and adapter do I purchased ones months ago and it’s been so reliable I got a second one.

Un aparato sólido y bien construido. Todas las tomas que probé funcionaron perfectamente a la primera sin necesitar ninguna configuración adicional. ¡Pero me sorprendió lo mucho que se calienta! Espero que sea normal. Usado en un portátil Asus Vivobook con Windows 10. He leído que se puede usar en smartphones y tabletas pero no lo he probado todavía.

It doesn't supply the same power as my laptop charger, but it still charges it. Although a bit slower. All the rest of functionality works fine. Recommended.
