Did the trick
CH340 drivers are a little trickier to find than RS232 but work just fine. As other reviews state, the cable worked fine even with seemingly disconnected wire(s). I found the best way to get the cable working was to connect to motor and turn on the battery before connecting to PC. If you google "A Hacker’s Guide To Programming The BBS02 & BBSHD" you will find a treat article that goes over the programming parameters for Bafang motors.

You'll need Prolific ch340 drivers
I don't know that the other reviewers have actually tried their cable, but the disconnected wire is intentional. It's the voltage line and should be disconnected as the bafang unit supplies it's own power. I had to find drivers for the Prolific ch340 chipset that this uses, but once I did it works great on Windows 10. If the seller is reading, a link to the drivers in your description would be great.

Works Great
After downloading the correct program into my computer (the program that incorporates "controller torque") this cable allowed me to read the controller on my new bike that has the Bafang Ultra motor. I was able to read all four pages "Basic", "Pedal Assist", "Throttle Handle" and "Torque". Once you have the cable connected to your bike don't forget to click "Read". You have to click "Read" for each page.

Must have for bafang middrive.
This allowed me to adjust and improve the way my bafang middrive works. The factory settings are OK but this gives you more options . Love my ebike even more now !

Get software before purchasing cable!
I don’t know. I cannot get anyone to send the programming software and instructions to use the cable with?Any ideas, anyone...?

Might work hard to say with no program
Seller didn't include program needed to use the cable. Only an email address to email for it. Emailed serveral days ago no response. needed to use the cable the day it arrived so not very pleased.

Difficile d’utilisation
Après 2 achats, le premier étant peut-être défectueux, le second ne semble pas encore adéquat. La programmation est très compliquée et nécessite Windows 10. On doit aussi faire plusieurs démarches pour y arriver. Chose que je n’ai pas encore réussi avec un bon technicien en informatique.
