I bought these to put on a section above my door where birds kept hanging out and making a mess. I was tired of constantly cleaning up droppings, so I figured I'd give these a shot. The spikes arrived pre-assembled, which was nice because I didn't have to spend time putting a bunch of pieces together. Installation was pretty straightforward, and the stainless steel spikes feel a lot sturdier than some of the plastic options I looked at available on Amazon. These are way higher quality than most. What I liked most is that they don't really stand out once installed. You can see them if you're looking for them, but they're not an eyesore. More importantly, the birds stopped using that spot almost immediately. One thing I'd recommend is measuring your area before ordering. The coverage worked well for my application, but I could see someone coming up a little short if they don't plan it out first. Overall, these did exactly what I bought them to do. They've been exposed to rain and Texas sun so far and still look the same as the day I installed them. If you're dealing with birds constantly landing on a ledge, roof edge, or windowsill, these are worth considering.

On the day that I retired I left work, drove to Home Depot, and bought 6x6 lumber to build the swing in my back yard that I would spend my days sitting in. But the birds viewed my monument to my career completely differently. Take that you fowl beasties! Thou shall not land on my swing! These worked wonderfully and they are almost invisible she looking at the beam they are installed on.

I bought these because they are pre-assembled and the color matches my exterior. They are super easy to install and very versatile. I can even bend them around curved surfaces. Best of all, they work! Of course, the birds have found new locations to which I now have to install additional spikes, and I just ordered more. My only complaint about this product is the price - it's very high for what you get, far higher than competitors or even unpainted versions from the same manufacturer. They are clearly selling the color, and that's what I feel I paid for. It seems they need some competition because they are clearly gouging. If color isn't important to you, save some money and choose an alternative. This product is a good choice though, so perhaps buy the unpainted version.

Very satisfied with the quality and ease of installation. They are very lightweight and flexible to adjust as needed. I placed some with heavy duty outdoor double sided tape where screws were difficult to attach and the rest just screwed right above my wood pergola where I was having a pigeon issue. Now the area is clean after so many years of dealing with water pressure washers. Highly impressed and for another box for another area of my home.

These worked for awhile, but certainly not long enough to make them worth the expense or the trouble (and injuries) involved in installing them. The flying rats now walk right through them….even perch ON them….on their way to nest in our eighth floor window boxes. Recommend a pellet or other nonlethal gun! For bird prevention they’re a Zero!

These work well and install quickly; we had a bird problem, but these spikes fixed that permanenty.

Very easy to tape down with duct tape if needed and worked getting pigeons and their nests out of my aircon system unit on the outside of my brick vaneer home. Will get another set as a precaution for the second unit outside.
