Never had or used a dashcam before but after my 17 year old daughter passed her driving test I decided I needed something to give me some reassurance without costing the earth.This dashcam has ticked all the boxes, inexpensive, small and discreet, simple to fit, easy to set up and records footage in HD. The download of even a short 1 min clip from the device over Wi-Fi is slow but it is simple to remove the SD card and browse the video clips on a PC or tablet which is much easier and quickly than via the app over Wi-Fi.My daughter actually had an incident on the first night out in the car alone and we quickly found the clip which clearly captured every detail so we’re confident that if a serious incident occurred the footage would provide great evidence.

I’ve had this for 2 years now and I would definitely recommend.Really easy to set up, it’s plugged into my car so battery life isn't an issue. The picture quality is pretty impressive for how small it is.Great app aswell where I can download footage to my phone.It also has a great feature so that if you press the big button it instantly secures the footage starting 30 seconds before you press it.The only problem I’ve had is when I moved it to my new car it lost some of its stickiness.

This really looks the part. When installed behind the mirror, peeping under the shaded part of the screen around the mirror, it is difficult to see (better when all black). I thought that it was a good choice for my needs.All dashcams record their video using clever algorithms that compress the data. One aspect of this is that scenes that change very little from one frame to the next don't require much new data to be generated and so can work quickly. When the scene changes significantly, the system has more work to do in coding the scene, this causes the video stream to slow, becoming jerky when the scene changes a lot and becoming worse as higher resolutions are required.Whilst installing, I thought that the onset of the "jerky" recordings was a little too easy to create at a modest resolution of 1080P. It may be perfectly fine for your requirements.

This is the worst dash cam I’ve ever used.Firstly most of the time it doesn’t record anything when the light says it is, secondly the app integration is terrible, it takes a very long time to download any footage and that’s if it recorded anything and always trying to connect it to my phone has always been a hassle.

Was looking for a small compact dash cam to install into my new car and after weeks of research and review reading I finally decided on this one.. and I’m glad I did! It’s perfect for anyone that wants to have a small reliable dash cam for their car. Very easy to install with the sticky pads provided and it’s easily removed from the mount if needed. Brilliant in all weathers and the picture is crystal clear! I bought the hard wire set separately and installed it that way but it’s also early installed via the plug provided. Just plug right into the cigarette lighter socket. The WiFi function is very good to. All the videos that’s saved into the SD card can be added to your phone within a flash! Also has a built in sensor for when your car is park and your car is knocked. The camera will automatically record for 30 seconds and lock that footage away in a secure folder. Have recommended this dash cam to other members of my family. All in all way worth the money and a 5 Star product!

I purchased this to replace an existing dashcam that had developed an issue (it didnt like cold, damp mornings).I was interested in purchasing this one due to customer reviews, night vision and the fact that you can download the footage via the built in WiFi connection (which is an excellent feature !!)Quality of picture is amazing, functionality is great and the night vision is really good!All round a great camera for the money….. BUTI purchased this for my car to replace an existing camera, which had a micro usb power cable. The last 2 cameras I’ve had have both been micro USB, however, for some reason they decided to use a MINI USB connection, which is much larger than a micro USB …. (I think the last time I used one of these was 15 years ago on a Fujitsu digital camera!)So rather than being able to use the existing usb cable, which I spent hours cleverly and neatly hiding in my cars trim, I had to rip it out and install the one that came with the camera….. slightly annoying to say the least, as I’m pretty sure when this one dies, I will need to do this again ……with the one I just ripped out!On top of that small annoyance, the power cable is also quite short! Compared to other cameras I’ve had, this is probably the shortest.I do not own a big car, and I struggled to hide the cable in the car trim whilst leaving enough cable to comfortably mount the camera.The cable is also quite thick in comparison (I presume this is also because of the mini usb port as oppose to the micro usb?) So another thing to consider when trying to fit is that it is not easy to push into the car trim when trying to hide it.Overall, the camera is really good. Ease of use is great, functionality is great, value great!Just let down by the mini usb and lack of cable….

Build quality is good and has a solid feel. As the camera mount is at a fixed angle I was a bit worried that the image would not line up with the view correctly but the lens is moveable so no problem. Really sticky mount pad, get the fixing position right first time else be prepared to spend some time getting it off again, it’s good that there is a spare sticking pad supplied. Image quality was bad at first, remember to remove the lens protector plastic film then it’s really quite good. The phone App works once you have connected using Wi-Fi, sometimes connecting is problematic but another attempt usually works. Not all camera settings can be adjusted through the App, it would be good if the App developers could extend the features.Happy with the unit, it does what I wanted well and doesn’t cost a fortune.
