Depends on ur bird ,if not used to a bath then it takes alot of patience and actually watching if it's used

My budgies love this bird bath which sits outside of the cage however I do find that they cannot grip on the side due to the material which can be a bit slippery due to the smoothness

My 2 budgies love this and is great in the hot weather. Easily fixed to the cage and very sturdy.
