A Decent Moka Pot
My first purchase had an issue with the gasket that wouldn't seal, but the company was responsive and provided a replacement no questions asked. The replacement works well. The company gives advice on brewing coffee with this moka pot that are just myths:"Use only cold water"- do not do this. Putting cold water in the base will subject the grounds to heat for longer, leading to bitter/off flavors in your coffee. Use hot water in the base and a low heat setting on the stove (if you're getting sputtery energetic coffee coming out of the spout, your heat is too high)."Only use cold water to clean" - this thing goes on your stove and makes hot coffee by boiling water. no water that comes out of your faucet should damage this unit in any way."Do not use soap to clean" - this is the seasoning myth that you need to season your pot with coffee and coffee oils to get the coffee to taste right. It's nonsense. Coffee oils will be left in your moka pot if you clean only with cold water or without soap. These oils will (as oils do) oxidize over time leading to off flavors in your coffee. Wash your dishes with warm water and soap, your coffee will taste better. This moka pot does not make espresso. No moka pot does. It makes a coffee that is in between espresso and drip coffee. It's dark, it's strong, it can be wonderful, but it's not espresso. You can use pre ground coffee with this, but you're better off grinding your own. The grind should be finer than pre ground drip coffee, but not as fine as espresso. The wood handles are not wood. "Duh." you might think, "Why would they include combustible handles on something you put on a stove?" Many higher end moka pots have wooden handles. The heat should be low enough, and the handle far enough away from the source of heat, that the handle lighting on fire shouldn't be a thing. At this price point I should not have been surprised, but I was for some reason. The handles are comfortable to hold, and soft, but there's a bit of a mental disconnect in seeing wood, then feeling the material the handle is made out of.The coffee chamber is very thin and delicate. Again, not a surprise at this price point. There's nothing wrong with it, just not something that's going to stand up to rough use.The water chamber patinas immediately. This is to be expected as it's made from aluminum. Nothing to worry about.Overall, this is a good purchase. It looks nice, and if you're looking for a cheap moka pot, this one works and won't break the bank. Good for someone who is just getting into making coffee with a moka pot and wants some practice before blowing dough on a more expensive model.

Amazing!!
Ok so I’m a first time moka pot maker and I came across this moka pot upon all the other ones because it had 5 stars. As I was making my moka pot I used the Lavazzo cafe espresso which you can buy on amazon and I noticed that the espresso was not flowing properly. Me thinking that it may have been an error of mine (maybe I didn’t put enough espresso or maybe I didn’t lightly pack it a little more) I decided to ask the seller for advice on what I was doing wrong she told me that it could be a defect in the moka pot and was happy to send me another one... ok I was not expecting that! They really do care about customer happiness and making sure you get the best out of your moka pot! You have a lifetime guarantee with them and anyone who cares about the product you buy from them is awesome In my book! Buy it you won’t be disappointed! The color is nice and not cheap looking and the espresso does not give an aluminum flavor at all!! Thank you!

Don't buy if in a hurry and don't buy white
I've had a few problems. When I first received the pot I had trouble figuring out how to stop it from leaking everywhere. Once I realized the seal needed to be just perfect seated against the rim and the top half had to be tightened (a lot) to the bottom I was able to stop that particular problem. I also bought white, not realizing how much it would stain when it leaked. I have yet to figure out a way to get all the stains off. Another problem is the pot does not heat up quickly by any means. I don't know if it's because I have a glass top stove or if there is a problem with the pot but I have to heat my water in the microwave for 2 min before pouring it into the moka pot or it will take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to start perking. My daughter in law came over and flipped out when she started to make us some coffee in it. She said hers heats up almost immediately (different brand), never leaked (she didn't tighten tight) and she has not had any of these problems. So, if your in a hurry, have a glass top stove and can't wait, you might want to pick up a cup of Joe at your local coffee shop.

Just get a real moka pot
Before getting this I had a Bialetti Moka Pot and made lots of great coffee with it. Unfortunately it got put through the dishwasher and ruined so I thought I'd give this one a shot being only $20. I should have just gone with the original. I have tried to make coffee with this twice now and both times the water just boils in the pot while little drops of coffee spurt out the top. The second time using it I noticed coffee running down the side of the pot. I don't know if it is just the gasket that is bad or what, either way you are better off not wasting your time and coffee on this one and going with a higher quality product from the start.

Not as good as my cheapo Aldi moka pot!
The product seemed well-made to look at; however, it felt much lighter than my current 6-cup Aldi ‘Kirkton House’ pot, despite having a higher capacity. On filling up and screwing together, the connection grated as if it was metal-on-metal rather than a softer closure that would indicate the rubber gasket inside was being compressed - so maybe the manufacturer hasn’t used the right thickness gasket, or it is just poorly made.In use, it took several minutes to get steam up and the liquid didn’t flow up smoothly as it does with the Aldi model - it came up in spurts and didn’t even seem to boil all the liquid, even after being on a medium heat for 5-6 minutes at boiling point.Even after so much time the upper pouring section was only half full and provided enough liquid to make 2-3 cups of coffee, nowhere near 8 cups!Sadly, very poor performance by this product, which I am returning. Will have to wait for another Aldi Specialbuy to come up!

Good coffee maker
It is a good Mokka pot. It's made of aluminium so if you wash it in your dishwasher it will discolour. This does not matter but looks odd. So hand wash it as they advise. Personally think the quoted size is one cup too great but the question is "2oz cup" - filled to where - espresso is often delivered in a French or Italian cafe no more than half full. A measure quoted to the max fill line (the safety valve) would allow better direct comparison with competitors. And metric units would be nice too. Most of the world except USA use metric. Still a good Mokka put though and it pours well.

Good product for the money
Good product and well made for the money. The coffee is good I purchased it for use in a caravan. I have tried it using the same beans as I use in my professional coffee machine. Be warned though when it has finished percolating don't lift it off the heat source and place it on a work top. I placed mine on a wooden chopping board and it imprinted the shape of its base with a nice burn mark. retains the heat well. Would buy again.

Coffee tastes great again!
Along with my favourite Hebtroco double black blend, my morning coffee starts the day beautifully. Effortless making, satisfying gurgling and plopping noises, great smells and easy to clean afterwards, I couldn't recommend this highly enough....I hope we are going to be together for many years to come!
