Perfect Fit, plugs right in.
I got this and wired it up and everything was great except there was no sound in my car(2008 SI Sedan). I learned that this harness isn't the one for cars that have the premium sound system (EX, SI). After some research I found out that you simply have to splice the remote wire (blue/white or blue) into the light blue wire on the factory harness to power on the factory amp and turn on the factory speakers. That didn't work for me either. I rewired it up with RCA's attached to the wiring harness to use my headunit's low-level line outs and that still didn't work. All this time my subs would be one and kicking but no sound in the car. SO after about a week of frustration and ripping out my dirvers seat to get to the factory amp, I just decided to purchase the Metra 70-1727 Factory Amplifier Bypass Harness for 2006 Honda Civic Vehicles which bypasses the amp altogether. For a regular civic owner I say go for this harness, but for a premium sound system, I say just get the amp bypass. It'll save you touching you factory harness and probably some days of frustration.

Works as advertised
Used on pioneer double din install for my Honda civic, great harness and works as described. Zero issues! Recommended, just wish there were clear instructions for wires that donโt match 1:1 or for those who arenโt as well-versed in wiring harnesses - watched a youtube video to ensure I had everything matched correctly. No missing parts, so thatโs a plus. All-in-all, would buy again. The harness does its job with no issues

Metra does not disappoint!
Yes, installing a new radio and wiring is challenging however, if you want to take this project upon yourself this harness makes it so much easier. Perfectly color coded and brings even a chart for wire matching to your radio harness. Direct plug and play to your factory harness. I highly recommend building/joining your radio and this harness prior to installing it to the car.

Gets the job done at a good price.
Needed this harness to install a new stereo in my 2006 Honda Civic. Overall wiring was easy enough for the speakers and power/ground connections - but there were a couple wires that were not labeled on the package. I ended up going to my car, connecting the battery and tapping wires together to see how to get the radio to work. Besides that it gets the job done.

Pink and brown wires needed for steering wheel controls are not functional
I bought this to integrate with the Maestro SW module to retain steering wheel controls. The pink wire is used to send the button signals to the head unit while the brown wire is used for muting the sound. Both of those wires in this adapter are not functional. There are actually two factory wiring harnesses, a 17 pin (larger in size) and a 20 pin (smaller in size). This Schoche harness is the adapter for the 17 pin harness. The pink and brown wires used for the steering wheel controls are actually on the smaller 20pin harness. It took me a few days and a phone call to the iDataLink tech support to realize this.In the end I ended up using a Scotchlok to tap into those wires directly.

A little pricey, but does the job
It's a piece of plastic, with some pinned pigtails, so I thought it was a little pricey, but it definitely makes for a clean installation, so I think it's worthwhile. The wires are good quality, as is the head. I think there are some instructions, but I already had an idea what I was doing, so I can't recall if they instructions are good or not. Used on a 2014 Honda Civic, to replace the factory original single-DIN "CD + radio" unit -- anyone wanna buy it? x-D ).
