Perfect stick vacuum, as long as it fits your demands
As a disclaimer, our home is 1700ft2, and about 2/3 of it is carpeted. The vacuum works phenomenal on the regular carpeting and hardwood in the house, but struggles a little bit with the wool area rug. The variety of ways this vacuum can be assembled makes it extremely versatile. For example, using the regular brush roll head while removing the extension works wonders on the carpeted stairs. The short "handheld" version with the scraper does great on the couch. And the extension, with the small ended nozzle, works great for after the initial vacuuming, getting all the dirt along the edges of the rooms and furniture. It lays down almost flat, so getting under things like the dog food bowls, the couch, the dining room table etc are a breeze. So the reason I made the title the way it is, is related to battery life. To realistically clean our first floor (mostly hardwood/tile + wool rug) and the second floor (totally carpeted) will eat up the entire battery. The battery is NOT fast to charge. The runtime is based I believe on the vacuum running in "handheld mode" (aka without the brush head). So, if you're home is over 1500ft2 and mostly carpeted, you're going to have to throw it on the charger for a while most likely. I think it would greatly benefit Shark to come up with swappable batteries, think Milwaukee or DeWalt style. If you're handy you can do this yourself, but it would greatly benefit the company to have a proprietary design for this. Another con, though I hesitate to call it a con based on the portability of this vacuum, is the power. As mentioned, it does great on our regular carpeting, but just isn't as good as the corded Shark we've had for almost 10 years. This is to be expected as the motor in the corded vac draws significantly more power than the cordless battery version, but still worth mentioning. The vacuum is very light and easy to use. The blue light on the front of the roller head is AWESOME, and will show every spec of dirt on any uncarpeted surface. Overall, for the sale price we got it at (I want to say between $175-225, can't remember exactly) it has been excellent. Just keep in mind how much you're going to want to run it at once, as if you're living space is too big, you will have to take long breaks to recharge the vacuum.

This vacuum is amazing with great suction! I saw a store using on their doormat.
We have a bunch of large door floor mats in front of several doors in the house, plus some walkway doorways that collect dirt and lint balls on the carpet. Always a big project getting out the canister vacuum, hose, and carpet floor unit to vacuum, so they don't get vacuumed as often as they should. A few weeks ago I'm walking out of a local large grocery store and see one of this model of Shark stick vacuum being used on their entry doorway floor mat. I took a look and remembered "Rocket" on the carpet unit, then tracked the stick vac down here and at a big box home store. What really caught my attention was the clear plastic "catch bin" at the top! Seemed like exactly the right thing in the right place, and clear so I could see what was being picked up. Well yep, having bought one, it works even better than expected! The various comments here, before I bought, said you have to pull the "high suction" trigger to get sufficient power on carpets, and that drains the battery faster. BOTH TRUE, BUT WHEN YOU DO THAT THIS THING SUCKS LIKE CRAZY! I'm impressed with what was in the catch bin and what I could see coming up from the carpets and mats. Small bits like cat litter, large bits of stuff, lint, hairs, everything on the mats and rug walkways. I vacuumed two carpet areas in in doorways between rooms that always accumulate a lot of dirt. Then vacuumed 3 of the door mats. Then vacuumed part of a sunroom carpet where a bunch of cats live. Even on the "high suction" the battery was only 2/3 gone after all that (there are 3 LEDs that tell you charge/discharge level) but I stopped because it looked like the catch bin might be full. This was first use and I wasn't sure. Yep, completely full, and that is a large bin! One thing: INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT CLEAR THAT THE CATCH BIN EMPTIES WITH A TRAP DOOR ON ITS BOTTOM, WHEN YOU PRESS THE EMPTY LEVER. SO IT WILL DUMP RIGHT INTO YOUR LAP IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT UPFRONT, LIKE HAPPENED TO ME. :) Luckily it was close enough to my lap that the suddenly-open trap door hit my leg and only opened about an inch, limiting how much came out until I could move it and me to the trash can. :) Knowing how it works now, I just hold it over the trash can then trigger the bottom door release. Which is really great, you don't have to turn the catch bin upside down and shake or such. There isn't a printed set of "word" instructions with the unit, it is one of those picture instruction pamphlets. For the most part that works, as in: assemble the stick pipe into the floor unit, then the vacuum head onto the stick pipe. There apparently is a QR code on the top than can be scanned for more instructions. Pro tip: the inside of the catch bin will be dusty after you empty. I used a "computer air" spray can (for PC keyboards and such) to blow out the inside and top. There is no way to get the unit to self-stand that I've found, for storage, as other comments here have noted. I found two cabinets with a space between them wide enough to set this unit in upright. Done! Even has a plug nearby for the charger. Those LEDs near the "suction trigger" show you how the charging is coming along. 3 of them that light in sequence as it charges, then they all go off when completely charged. Charges reasonably fast. At a local big box home store I saw this unit in person, plus a whole bunch of other brands and models. Yep, I "showroomed" then ordered here for $30 less. :/ None of the brands and models had that nice, large, clear catch bin at the top back like this one has. Several brands had black or opaque catch bins and they were located in odd places. Why? To make sure I won't be able to see how full it is getting? Guys! :) This vacuum is great, for what it is, a quick and fairly powerful unit to quickly clean floor mats, doorways, and other small areas. Probably not the ideal thing for your entire living room rug, although could do it with a few re-charges and catch bin empties. Summary: just buy it already! :) A+++++

A total eye-opener—my new favorite vacuum!
Buy this vacuum if you want to see how dirty your house actually is. The blue light on the front of the brush unit sits right above floor level, and it illuminates dust and dirt you never even knew was there. It was honestly a bit of an awakening—I genuinely thought my floors were clean! Now, I use it every night to sweep through the kitchen. It’s so lightweight, quick, and effortless to grab. Unlike other vacuums that just push debris around, this one actually picks everything right up. A few key highlights that make it great: The Blue Light: Makes every hidden particle visible so you can see exactly what you're doing. Great Battery Life: I only need to charge it about once every 5 days with my nightly routine. Low Maintenance: It’s easy to clean out, and there are no recurring costs for bags or filters to keep buying. Hands down my new favorite vacuum!

Quality secondary vacuum
I bought this vacuum for my townhouse, which is mostly tile and not very large, and overall I’ve been happy with it. It works especially well as a secondary vacuum or for smaller spaces, but I wouldn’t recommend it as the only vacuum for a larger home or for homes with a lot of carpet. On tile floors, the battery life is solid and the suction performs well. However, on carpet the vacuum automatically increases suction power, which drains the battery much faster. The vacuum is lightweight, compact, and easy to maneuver, and the Reveal feature works really well. It also does a good job picking up dirt and debris from hard floors. My main complaint is storage. Even though it’s compact, it doesn’t stand upright on its own, comes apart into several pieces, and the battery needs to stay connected to an outlet for charging, which makes storing it a little inconvenient. Overall, it’s a good vacuum for smaller homes or as a supplemental vacuum, especially if you primarily have tile floors.

Very Versatile With good Brush Action
After years of using a No Name stick vac in our house it finally gave out. It taught us that 1. These are basically disposable as the batteries cost almost as much as the whole unit, and 2. We had no use for anything considered "high end." We have had a couple shark products before and were always very happy with the quality and the reasonable price point it came at. It was a big factor in choosing this one. UNBOXING: What you would expect from a small vac the box was about 2.5' x1.5' x 1.5'. There was a lot of cardboard inserts and dead space in there but overall was packaged in a way that would prevent most common shipping mishaps. It took all of about 6-7 minutes to unbox and assemble the vacuum in upright stick mode. Minimal plastic which was nice so we could recycle 95% or better of the packaging. STORAGE: At first I thought this was going to be and issue. We are so used to hanging our old vac off the ground, and this doesn't come with any wall mounting system. To my pleasant surprise it has a small rubber "bumper" on the bottom side of the vac handle. When upright and placed against a wall this little strip does a GREAT job of making sure it doesn't slide down the wall and across the pantry floor. Little things like this impress me. USE/FUNCTIONALITY: This is advertised as a pet vac and we have 1 very hairy cat. Hair control was a factor for us. Luckily on our main floor where this is primarily used we have hardwood flooring so the suction needed is less than a carpeted area. THere are 2 full time modes that both engage the brush. For simplicity we will call the High and Low however they only effect the speed of the brush and not the actual vacuum pull power. In low speed it is recommended for tile and hardwood flooring the brush is activated but at a very low speed suitable to sweep up crumbs without blasting them backward across your feet. It handled the dinner mess our 3 kids leave very well, and did a great job collecting the fur balls in the corners. High speed engages the brush at a much faster speed for carpeting. I did a few area just to test it out and it worked well. I think for surface and superficial cleaning it would work great but lacks the weight and power of a full size plug in vac for deeper cleaning. I did use the carpet mode on the couch and some chairs that the cat frequents and was very impressed with the ability to remove the bedded down cat hair. The vacuum can also be used as a handheld. It comes with a narrow long attachment for use between cushions and tight spaces, as well as a smaller brush assembly for couches, seat cushions, and stairs(although i use the stick mode). This is a handy feature and will be used a lot my my wife and I in our cars. VACUUM POWER: When i first turned it on i was underwhelmed. I felt like it was limited to preserve battery, and maybe it is. But the pull is fine for my use on hardwood. It never left anything on the floor that I expected it to pull up. There is a trigger that you can pull using your index finger that will boost the vac into "full power." This allows you to choose when to use the extra pull only when needed. I found myself wishing there was a way to turn this on full time, but it appears that you need to be actively pulling this whenever you want it at that speed. BATTERY LIFE: I charged this for 24 hours prior to use, not sure if it was needed or not, but we didn't need to use it yet so it charged. I used it for about15 minutes with varied use in High/Low, and FULL POWER modes. Even went and did a little more than what we would normally use it for and when i was done it read 2/3 bars left. When I plugged it in it flashed between 1 and 2 bars, so i assume I used about half of the battery life in the 15 minutes and since they claim up to 40 in low power mode I would believe this claim to be true. OVERALL THOUGHTS: This is exactly what we needed and I would foresee getting a few years or more life out of this vacuum. Versatile enough to be used on hard flooring, carpet, and automobiles or more. It comes at a very reasonable price point considering the quality and the brand reputation. I would think that for pet owners with hard flooring this would work great for most pet situations. The functionality is as promised and I like the weight and feel of it overall. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Good for puppy glitter and quick cleanup
Got this mainly for dog hair on hardwood floors around the house. I had something similar before this that finally gave up after years of daily use picking up what I call puppy glitter, so I already knew the style of vacuum I was looking for. I really enjoy using Shark products and so long as they keep the quality up, I will probably continue using them. Performance has been solid so far. Suction is strong and it picks up dog hair very easily on hardwood floors. That was the biggest thing I cared about and it handles everyday messes without much effort. It is lightweight and easy to pick up, especially for someone who does not want to drag around a heavy vacuum. That makes quick cleanups easier instead of pulling out something bulky. I also like the versatility. Being able to switch to the handheld setup makes it useful for more than just floors and helps with smaller cleanup jobs around the house. Battery has done well for quick cleanups. I have not had issues with it dying halfway through smaller jobs. One thing I like is the size. It does not take up much room and storage is simple compared to larger vacuums. For pet hair, hardwood floors, and daily touch-up cleaning, this has been a good fit so far.

Nice little light fun machine for $200ish but $300+ isn't worth it
Features look neat but they don't all reflect what happens. 1. The light feature does show other dirt not detectable by my eyes. But there's not enough power to suck it all up. I go on my hands and knees cleaning what I've missed. Cool feature and at least it does show where I need to wipe up the remaining dust/dirt. I just wouldn't bother paying extra for it. 1a. Due to the lack of power, though, I easily vac our bathroom rugs without going into contortions to stop the rug from being vac'd up. That's a plus. 2. Just used the vac and it caught a string from a pair of sweats (I use an old sweatpants on the floor to block light). The string wrapped around where the fabric (that replaced brushes) wasn't. Pulling it out of my canister vac bristles is easier to me. 3. The weight is wonderful and that's why my focus was on this and a friend recommended it (hers is the more expensive model was reduced to $200 with a runtime* of up to 50 minutes) with a catch. 3a. The estimated "standard" runtime states it's only for the handvac and I'll likely never use that. I also wouldn't pay for the feature. I can use this vac on our stairs and stair treads so it makes using the handvac not needed anymore. 4. The HEPA is amazing. I used my canister vac for the lower floor today and it's supposed to be HEPA but my nose was on the run. I haven't replaced or washed it. 5. I was concerned about the dust collector but I opened it fully in a plastic bag, pulled out some dirt, closed it up and I didn't even sense the dust in my nose. Just keep in mind the size is small as I only use it on hw floors with rugs (3 bedrms) on one floor and leave the carpeting on another floor for the canister. It's a neat little machine for $200 that I wouldn't have bought if I were younger :) when I was buying more expensive HEPA only canisters and could carry them with ease. But with the price jumping to over $300, for me, it's not worth it.

Lightweight and effective -- but not your nan's metal Hoover
This thing weighs nothing and it does so by not having many parts, or heavy parts. It will not feel like an heirloom and if you are used to an all-metal 1970s Hoover you will be disappointed. It's unlikely to last 40 years anyway. However, suction is very good, the anti-clog rotating head does a great job not fouling up with pet hair, the light weight makes it more likely to actually see use, and with an adapter you can run Milwaukee batteries on your Shark vac. The 8 Ah Milwaukee battery feels like hauling a cinder block around but it should provide several hours of run time. If you don't have carpets, a pet Samquanch, or some combination thereof this may work as your only vacuum. With pets and mixed flooring this will do very nicely and very practically for every day stuff, and the corded vac only needs to come out if something hits the fan. The plasticky feel takes a little while to overcome, but there's a reason this feels like cheap plastic: it's cheap plastic. Another drawback: you have to pull off the head piece to empty the bin, or to get the vacuum to stow away upright. You can neither empty it nor get it to stand upright on its own if it is intact. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be in jail. Still strongly recommended. Buy it on sale.

Although powerful, it is a waste of money.
Although powerful, it only runs for around 15 minutes, if you are lucky and, I thought it would run on power as well like a mobile phone but, it does not. It is a waste of money.

Powerful and light weight
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Powerful, Lightweight, and So Convenient! The Shark Vertex Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum has completely changed the way I clean. It’s lightweight but surprisingly powerful — it picks up everything from pet hair to crumbs to fine dust with ease. The DuoClean PowerFins really do make a difference on both carpets and hard floors, and it transitions smoothly between surfaces. The cordless design is a game-changer — no more dragging cords around or switching outlets. The battery life is great for quick cleanups or a full sweep of the house, and I love that the canister is easy to empty and clean. The vacuum also folds for compact storage, which is a big plus. Overall, this vacuum is worth every penny. It’s powerful, quiet, and super convenient for everyday cleaning — I actually enjoy vacuuming now!

Buen producto
