Now this is some good stuff! I purchased the loose powder and then I purchased this compact powder for my bag when I’m wanting to go. The loose powder is at home when I’m doing a makeup session. But this compact powder is absolutely wonderful and works very very well. I highly

ELF is one of my favorite brands for affordable makeup. Their products are generally average to good quality and their prices are competitive. This setting powder is no different. I've been using it for a few months now, so let me share some of the pros and cons of the product.First, though, I would like to mention that when I purchased this through Amazon (as opposed to directly from ELF or in person at a drugstore) the powder, which is a pressed powder in a plastic case, arrived completely shattered. Not entirely unusable if you're willing to use it more like a loose setting powder as opposed to a pressed one, but very annoying. Beware of that before purchasing this through Amazon.As for the products itself, it is exactly as advertised. Some of the things I like the most is how it blurs my skin to look almost like I'm wearing a filter in real life. I usually use it as a second to last step in my makeup routine to keep from looking shiny or oily. Sometimes I use it just on my bare skin or with a little bit of primer when I don't feel like doing a full face just to give my skin that slightly polished look.It is also very lightweight and sheer as long as you don't use too much, but it does tend to last most of the day even with my oily skin type. Please keep in mind this is coming from a white teenager. I cannot personally attest to how this looks on skin any different than mine, whether that be in color, texture, or oil level.A few cons to this product, when you get to the last few bits of powder, it tends to be difficult to use as it breaks up and get stuck in my brush. This is a common issue I have with pressed powders, and as far as issues go it's not a big one. It just makes finishing up the product difficult and I usually find myself trashing the last remaining bits once I get a new one.Over all, I would give the product four stars. It's great for the price and it works for me. If you think it might work for you, I'd say give it a go.

Fantastic for blurring wrinkles, pores, and creating a natural finish without looking like a mask. I’ve tried similar powders from It and Tarte, and frankly, I don’t see the difference in quality. I’m also using very glowy, shiny lotions and serums, but this take the glare down and those shiny products can also make imperfections more noticeable. This combats the undesirable shine but still lets the glow show through.

So I received the elf finishing powder. The packaging was fine , the product itself was fine , it did help me achieve the smoother more polished look BUT ,I like SO MANY OTHERS did not get the puff that is supposed to come in it. I just used a powder brush. The applicator DOES make a difference in the end - you get different results. I'm not sure if I would buy this again because you don't know if it's the seller or the manufacturer that is ripping you off of part of a product that you pay for.

I have bought this powder multiple times and it really is great for creating an airbrushed, pore-blurring, soft, and matte effect on makeup (and not being too expensive!). I have bought the It Cosmetics "bye-bye pores" powder, and honestly, I don't notice much of a difference in effectiveness; in my experience, you will have to reapply throughout the day regardless. I tend to use this on my T-zone as my pores are largest there and I get the oiliest there. I will say there can be a white cast depending on how much you apply, but that wasn't really a problem for me because I am somewhat fair.Yes, the product does have the risk of getting broken because of the pressed form, however the compact is too convenient for reapplication, so I'll bear with re-pressing the powder.And yes, though it doesn't come with a puff, I don't mind because the triangle puff I use wouldn't fit anyways.Overall, an awesome alternative to the expensive blurring powders!

I don't know if I misread the information provided, but I expected an applicator to be included, in the empty space where an applicator should be...there is a good 1cm depth in the lower section, which is what suggested to me that an applicator was missing. I used a brush to apply the powder over different products and bare skin (as recommended on the box). However, the product itself is very, very pale and left a chalky appearance, over concealer, tinted moisturiser and on bare skin. It didn't blur anything, in fact it actually highlighted the slight wrinkles under my eyes and made them more pronounced than they actually are. I am 54 and have virtually no wrinkles, but this product made me look 10 years older. Maybe it's just not suitable for my skin type and might work well for others.UpdateI ordered the youberry silk powder puff duo and they are amazing. The smaller one does fit into the lower compartment, but as the power puff is so thick and luxurious, it's now difficult to close the compact. I retried the powder, using the youberry powder puff and it made such a difference! I have gone from 3 stars to 5, and am now very happy with the way the powder looks on my skin. I've only tried it, with the puff, over tinted moisturiser so far, but it has blended beneath my eyes much more smoothly than with a large fluffy brush. It also covered the small amount of shine left by the moisturiser. I would now recommend both the powder AND the youberry silk powder puffs!

Meine Haut ist sehr lange mattiert und das Puder zaubert eine Art Weichzeichner auf mein Gesicht. Die Poren wirken fein und die Gesichtshaut sieht klar, fein und frisch. Bronzer und/oder Rouge halten ebenfalls richtig lange. Ich bin super begeistert und werde mir Nachschub holen.
