I confess I was full of trepidation when I noticed that the article was sold by a chinese outfit. However, these are screws, so how wrong can they get it?To my astonishment I found they were perfect. They were the smallest in diameter I could find and fit my handle perfectly. To top it all up, my handle must have been made having this kind of screws in mind because the holes have different diameters depending which side of the door you are looking at. That meant that no extra drilling was required and the job was completed in a few minutes.My only issues (nothing to do with the screws, though) was that my existing holes on the door didn't align too well, which meant I had to make some of them bigger. Also, I could use these screws only for 2 holes as the other two had the "lock" bit in the way, so with them I had to go back to the matchstick + PVA glue method. In any case, my handle has not felt this stable in years!Now I have to do at least one more...

Great for fixing door handles on hollow internal doors where there's no wood to screw into.Instead the opposite screws bolt together. Awesome.

Really pleased. Cheap but effective. Easy to snap to length without destroying the thread. Look good and my handles are now secure.

Yep. It's better than trying to fill a screw hole or buying a new door!The screw holes had worn out and my son had pulled the door handle off the door. I was all set to try to enlarge the screw hole and then use layers of wood filler to try to strengthen the door. And then try to refit the door handle when a friend said "You don't wanna do that".And he was right. These Door Handle Screw Connecting Bolts & Sleeves did the trick! Now my handle is as firm as the day they were first fitted, some 20 years ago. I went for the M4 as they are about the same size as the screws they replace, and I had to cut them to about the right size. Some points to note:1. They put up a picture of a pair of pliers, as if to indicate that the bolts are easy to cut. They aren't. And I needed two pliers - one to hold the main body and one to try to cut. I got there with some cutting pressure and then a bit of bending to eventually break at the right point. But if you've got a pair of bolt cutters with longer handles (so that you can get a bit of torque in there) then they will easily cut.2. I used an M4 drill to make sure that a hole went through from one side of the door to the other. But the Bolt Sleeves are a little wider so you might need to make the hole on one side a little larger, just enough to accept the sleeve.And I didn't need to buy a new door! And I didn't need a proper carpenter!

The screws and connectors are perfect for securing door handles that have become loose, especially on soft wood and veneered doors. The screws can be cut to the size required and when fitted become very strong and secure.
