Govee 16.4ft RGBIC LED Strip Lights, LED Lights for Bedroom, APP Control

This RGB light strip by Govee is wonderful , easy installation, sticks really well to the wall and make corners . Any color you could possible want , they are bright and they look clean .Govee home app is must have for these lights , easy app setup . Only issue I ran into was on the app side of things . When I closed out the app and reopen it , my led strip wasn’t there and it wanted me to repair it . So I close out the app again reopened it and my RGB led strip light I originally paired was there and worked perfect And no issue after that.theres a bunch of effects and you can also customize your effect with the app and very easy to do . A must have for gamers room , man cave , movie theater room or office or a space your just trying to add some RGB vibes . I’m also had other brand of RGB led strips so far Govee my favorite .

I bought these specifically to add some lighting underneath my desk, and they've been perfect for what I needed. Setup was basically plug and play right out of the box. I had no issues connecting them to the Govee app either. The app found them almost instantly, and within just a few minutes I had everything installed, connected, and was already changing colors and effects from my phone. There are tons of customization options in the app, which is one of the reasons I keep buying Govee products. Installation was just as easy. The adhesive backing is surprisingly strong and has held perfectly underneath my desk so far. The lights themselves are bright, the colors look great, and they added exactly the kind of ambient lighting I wanted for my setup. For the price, I'm extremely happy with them. They're simple, inexpensive, easy to control, and do exactly what they're supposed to do. I've had great experiences with Govee products in general, and these were no exception.

These LED strip lights are really good and worth the price. There are a lot of color options, which is awesome, but picking a specific color can be a little tricky. The app is pretty easy to use overall. However, the music syncing feature struggles a lot; it doesn't sync up correctly, and there are noticeable delays, which is disappointing. Installation is easy, and they hold up well. Overall, a solid set of lights; just don't expect the music sync feature to work perfectly.

Sometimes the description doesn’t really explain. This doesn’t have a remote. And it doesn’t need to be connected to your phone at all. It does exactly as I wanted it to. Has a built in sensor to detect your music or sound, which changes colors of the lights and patterns. Uses a good adhesive, stays in place. Simple to use, and can cut down to length.

The Day Better kit worked for me though I will add a few tips I learned that helpEd me that may help future buyers . 1) if you don’t need IP65 waterproof where you are installing them, consider Getting regular strips... the Silicon has tended to make my very simple indoor van installation quite a royal pain with the available connectors out there.. I used the waterproof not because it was outdoors but it was running near roof cavity’s that do potentially sweat In outdoor temp changes etc or fingers grab looking for things and dust accumulation Etc to cause problems which the silicone protects against but in my case if I had it to do over I would try the the sturdiest non waterproof set available as the connector kits out there are much more plug and play and unless you’re installing a lot of these and don’t mind buying large kits of spare parts to have around for troubleshooting options and creative installs it gets expensive trying to make a basic install work and get good connections with these waterproof strips if you are turning corners or needing wire runs to different sections of light strip. 2) if you estimate you need the 16ft kits get the 32 ft at least... trust me in experienced in electrical and finicky installs and some of the connections go smooth and work like candy but suddenly when you start cutting and recurring strips because your piercing style connectors are junk , you need more strip to go through until you get experienced. 3) if you want bright light go with the more lights per inch strips.. I wanted to save overall amp draw and only needed mood/ambience so I got the less lights per inch.. but it has dimmer settings... so unless you know you only want mood brightness get the denser lit strip and turn it up and down you will have more bright light capabilities. 3) take care to cut the ends perfect. The ends being even make all the difference inside the connections 4) if using the strip to 4 wire harness piercing style connectors, use an electrical tester at each leg/each side of every connection you make. Leave the strip end coming from the controller connection on and connect to the strip then test the lead end side of the connectors to make sure you have voltage. Then connect section of wire and test the wire end before connecting to another section of light strip test the far side of the connector where the next strip is going.. with the lights on then you will often get a connection just by touching the strip end to the connector. 5 ) on connectors. You will go through so many connectors getting good fits on the piercing variety for waterproof strips get plenty. Tips others have posted about , helps to use a spare connector to pierce your wires and sometimes your strip first so you don’t damage or wear out a connector that you intend to be permanently in the circuit... I even cut a little bit of light strip with wire on it to use as the tester and pre piercing connector when connecting a set of wires to a strip end. Pulling on the wire a bit helps to make a good connection at times. Be very meticulous cutting the ends of the connectors. Finally for strip to strip or strip to wire connectors consider getting the kind made to slip under the prongs that’s are more designed for the non waterproof kind but some say waterproof because they will house the raised curve of the silicone when closed but the connection method is the same as non waterproof strips and is non piercing.. you simply have to work the end where you’ve cut the strip like you’re peeling the adhesive but instead you gently get the silicone to lift off the backing tape that is the circuit and expose the contacts and slip that under the connector tongs and let the silicone come back down and close the connector.. possibly wire solder the other end if you want a strip to wire connection... although for a novice soldering it wouldn’t be easy.. Basically don’t get waterproof ones unless you have a lot of extra strip to work with and ruin or unless you really need the waterproof kind... Maybe consider inventing a better strip to wire connector for these waterproof strips because they are all junk! Hope this helps.

Govee products are undefeated and have ruined other brands for me. Happily. I waited a while to write my review for this product, I had seen a few of their products have reviews about people complaining about them getting very very hot or even some of the melting or catching on fire. So I wanted to make sure I'd use these products long enough to make a valid review. I want to start by saying I've had these products now for over a month and I've used them for hours at a time I not only have the strip lights, I also have the neon rope, and the floor lamp. I've used them over and over again while also being mindful and I have not had a single issue. The app they have is phenomenal, it's super seamless and even connects to my Google so I can use Google to turn these lights on or off. Since I've purchased my first item with this company I have bought three other items. And I'm having a hard time not spending more money on more of their items. The adjustability, the versatility, and the appearance of all of these lights and everything that this company offers is 10 out of 10. I'm actually very happy but also upset that they ruined every other brand for me because I can't justify anything else. Thank you Govee for an amazing product worth spending my money on.

I love these lights ! They’re very nice I love that there’s an app that you can control it with changing colors and doing patterns and changing the brightness of the lights is amazing. It was very easy to put up on the wall and use the only thing is I accidentally bought one way too long for my room so I did have to cut the end off but other than me own mistake it’s amazing and I would recommend this product to people and have already !!!

They work nicely, the app is hard to control and the lights perpetually glow. A remote control would have been nice but for 12 bucks what do you expect? The App: The app is designed nicely but there are a few issues. When changing to music for example, there is no way just to shut it off, you have to either shut the lights off or swap back to a solid color and so on. There are some other awkward things about the application. You cannot manually save a segmented pattern you devised (which is unfortunate). You cannot select a custom color or mode for a timed event. It is possible that I am using it wrong, but I spent several hours going through it. If I am mistaken I will modify this section. The Glow: I hung these in the bedroom; they were great fun until we went to sleep—usually in the pitch dark—no longer. Instead, we have little green dots littering the ceiling. The glow persists even when unplugged. The picture I submitted is the green glow while unplugged. The Pros: It's 12 bucks. Some app features. There are a great many patterns and sequences. The adhesive quality seems to work very well. It's 12 bucks.

I've been really happy with these lights. the installations were easy and it looked fantastic once turned on, the colours are vibrant and the segmented feature lets you display multiple colours at once, which adds a really cool dynamic effect to any room. The app is intuitive and easy to use, there is a lot of customization, DIY colour segments, scenes, music sync, and scheduling, so there's multiple way to perfect your lights to you needs. Connectivity has been reliable too. My phone pairs with the lights via Bluetooth quickly and stays connected without dropouts, which makes controlling everything a breeze. Overall, these strip lights are a great way to instantly transform the vibe of a room. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add some colour and ambience to their space!

Amazing lights! Put them on the back of the tv. Good quality stickiness, holding well so far. Colour of lights are cool too with lots of control over each section.
