Keeps fridge smelling fresh - works great!
I've been using Arm & Hammer baking soda in my fridge and freezer for years, and this pack of 12 is a fantastic value. The boxes are perfectly sized to fit in any fridge or freezer compartment without taking up too much space. They do an excellent job at absorbing odors and keeping everything smelling clean and neutral. Having a 12-pack means I can swap them out every month or two without having to run to the store. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a fresh-smelling fridge!

My Refrigerator Was Quietly Becoming a Biological Weapons Program
There are few moments in life more humbling than opening your refrigerator and immediately wondering whether something inside has become sentient. At first it starts innocently. A little leftover takeout container shoved toward the back. Half an onion wrapped in foil. A container of mystery sauce nobody remembers buying. Kids grab snacks, spouses rearrange shelves, random leftovers begin stacking like some culinary game of Jenga. Before long, the refrigerator slowly transforms into a time capsule documenting questionable decisions from weeks past. Then one day you open the fridge and get hit.Not hard.Just enough.Enough to make you pause.Enough to wonder: “Did somebody leave shrimp in here?” You begin the investigation. Containers come out. Shelves get wiped. Produce drawers are examined like a detective searching a crime scene. Suspicious leftovers are interrogated and removed. Yet somehow the smell remains. That was my refrigerator. And then these little orange boxes entered the chat.Listen, Arm & Hammer has basically become the unofficial emergency response team for household odors. They have one job: neutralize smells before your kitchen starts feeling like a forgotten airport break room refrigerator. These things work. Not fake internet “I think maybe it helped” work.Actual work.I placed one in the refrigerator and one in the freezer and gave it a few days. Slowly the weird background odor disappeared. Not covered up. Not masked with perfume or artificial fragrance. Gone. That’s an important distinction.I don’t want my refrigerator smelling like tropical waterfalls or lavender mountain breeze. I want it smelling like absolutely nothing. I want emotional neutrality when opening the door.Mission accomplished. And can we discuss the 24 pack for a second?Twenty four. This isn’t a purchase. This is a refrigerator odor retirement plan.I suddenly realized I wasn’t buying baking soda anymore. I had entered a new tax bracket of preparedness. Future me was covered. Present me was covered. If society collapses, I may somehow become the neighborhood baking soda distributor. What I also appreciate is the convenience factor. No giant box sitting sideways on a shelf. No awkward flap ripped open. No spilling powder. No “did somebody knock over the baking soda?” situation.Just grab one.Place it.Forget it exists. That simplicity matters because nobody wakes up excited to manage refrigerator odor logistics.I also started dropping these in places I probably wasn’t originally intended to. Garage fridge. Beverage fridge. Extra freezer. Utility room fridge that stores random overflow food after holidays. Suddenly I became some sort of household odor strategist. The freezer deserves special mention.Because freezer smells are sneaky.People think cold temperatures somehow suspend the laws of nature. Wrong. Frozen garlic bread, mystery meats, ice cream, fish, old leftovers and frozen vegetables all eventually create their own strange little ecosystem. One of these went into the freezer and quietly handled business there too.No drama. No maintenance. No effort.Just silent odor warfare. If your refrigerator currently smells suspicious, if you’ve ever opened a freezer and immediately questioned your life choices, or if your household contains children, teenagers, meal preppers, leftovers, mystery containers, or human beings in general, buy these.Your nose deserves peace.

Nice way to stock up on fridge/freezer packs but dirty boxes of baking soda
I change my baking soda in the fridge and freezer once a month so it will be nice to be stocked up for 6 months. I took a star off because when I opened the box that they all came in there was loose baking soda everywhere and it got all over my floor and counter. Each pack is coated in baking soda so I have to dust it off. It doesn’t appear that any of the boxes have been opened so not sure why they are so dirty. I didn’t return it because they are still usable once dusted off. I will probably buy again just to save time and a little money.

Great design
I used these ever month to help with smells. They work well, are inexpensive and easy to use. I use them in the fridge, freezer, cabinets and closets. When you are done you can repurpose the used baking soda into a moss killer that won't kill grass.

Smart Bulk Buy for Fridge, Freezer & Cleaning
I decided to use Subscribe & Save for these because the price-to-product ratio is hard to beat. This is one of those household staples you constantly replace, so buying in bulk just makes sense if you have even a small storage space available.I keep one box in the fridge and another in the freezer, and they do a great job absorbing odors. I also like that nothing goes to waste once it’s time to swap them out. Afterward, I reuse the baking soda to make an easy cleaning paste for sinks, bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, and more.A helpful reminder: this version is specifically for fridge/freezer deodorizing, not baking.Another bonus tip — if you have litter boxes, sprinkling some baking soda in before adding litter helps a lot with odor control.Overall, this has become an easy household staple for me because it’s affordable, useful in multiple ways, and simple to keep on hand.
