No matter what I tried the lights don't work as intended. A piece that tilts to leave room behind it for the wire. It is true that the connections do tend to.magically come loose. The wire, pins, and connection spots are tiny and very close together. Another option is Keywords: Aluminum LED Strip Light channel The lights go inside it - why not light up the sink area also ? On the ceiling above the sink it's almost invisable. I spray painted the front edge of the aluminum to match the ceiling. Options: *Shoe Moulding in front of metal channel. *a piece of matching contact paper along the front edge. More Options: Run the LEDs on the ceiling, and attach a flat piece of Shoe Moulding or baseboard in front of them like a valence. **Q: Does this model support the light restore settings which will restore the light to its previous power state if a power outage occurs?** A: Mine did after a hurricane. **Q: Will there be an update to allow Lifx lights to work with a router that combines 5 and 2.4? Trying to hook to a new router is impossible.** A: What I did was have both 5 and 2.4 set up, and renamed 2.4 what I wanted my combined network to be. For the price asked and all the hype it is not living up to the bare minimum expectations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If the lights would stay connected, these would be amazing (They do now!) *by S***E on 12 October 2022* UPDATE: Last week (10/30/2022) there was a firmware update for the LIFX Lightstrip. I am happy to say that after installing this update, and several days of use, the lightstrip is working flawlessly. It is remaining fully connected at all times. It is responsive not just in the app, but also through HomeKit and Alexa. As this is working superbly, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5. I recently got this light strip to use as bias lighting in my home office. Set up was easy, and they connected well with both HomeKit and Alexa. After a couple of days, they stopped staying connected to my wifi. They are in the same room as the router. In order to use the lights, I need to reset them to reconnect them every single time I want to turn them on or off. I was very disappointed considering the price point and the quality of the strip itself. The lights are bright, and the colors are vibrant. Since I have this installed already, I may get a smart plug just to turn it on and off since the plug is in an odd place.
