Above satisfactory and beyond
This book is by far one of the best books I have read. I love this book as the author John Flanagan has made the characters so love able and interesting that you can't help but feeling the same emotions that they do. Therefore as the characters are so loved it creates a certain intimateRelationship with the story and the world they all live in.As for people who say the first four books in the series are the only decent books I disagree entirely as my thoughts on the topic are that the further on you get in the series the more you are connected with the characters of the story which in turn makes the books better on some level. This review was made to be helpful and informative about the rangers apprentice books and series and how I believe they are an excellent read for all ages. As for me I hope John Flanagan keeps writing more of this series and also of the Brother band series which I would defiantly check out if you are a fan of rangers apprentice.I hope this has been helpful if so like it and I will see you in my next review.Tar ra!

Imaginative, and an exciting book, interesting and well developed characters.
I am on my last book in the series of Ranger's Apprentice, I have read with excitement, sheer joy and escapism the entire journey of Will and co. My own son was hooked on and read the entire series avidly. John Flanagan, is an exciting and imaginative writer, he paints a world that takes you on a real journey. Once I picked up the books to read, I was submerged and found that I was eager to read the next instalment. Don't take my word for it, read it for yourself and get lost in Rangers Apprentice.

A magnificent end to a series
Forget the moaning Minnie's and negative Nora's who didn't think this book was very good or up to standard . (Seems like there always has to be someone who comes out with a negative without really explaining why .) This is an excellent book and to prove it I read it in a day - and it's a long time since I did that .The characters are well rounded and have developed from the first book . If you have read the series you can see all the characters develope .I won't give anything away but you can feel Will's loss and pain . The solution was well thought out and fitted in perfectly . As I've said to friends just because a book is aimed at teens/young adults doesn't mean you can't read it . I'm 61 and this series has been excellent , a real roller coaster . Loved the horses - Tug in particular .I cannot recommend this book higher . Read the series and then go onto The Brotherband series which are even better .

Great read
An amazing book, it was quite different from the rest of the series, but was no less funny, exiting or addicting for it. It chronicles the "late days" of the ranger corps, with all the characters changed in some way, and new ones added in.It was suspiciously similar to the first book, but in my opinion it was a cleaner throwback the the past. The first part of the book was a good humored, if slightly predictable introduction and preparation( both for the reader and the characters) while the second is a sad but highly exiting and enjoyable minor crime, investigation and battle that somehow feels just as big as army's facing off.Love the series, u have to read it

Last Book in the series and it was good to finish off and It was different from the others so it was amazing
I chose this rating because I absolutely loved this book, it had a very big change compared to the other books as it has moved with the times of past where women could not do what men could and in the Royal Ranger, John Flanagan made it possible to demonstrate why women could do things that men could, but with a small change in some places to help them anything is possible.I liked that Halt was still around to show off his superiority in knowing what everyone else knows and having the answer for them all, and even though he is retired and old he is the best from Ranger of them all, except Will who he says "Is much better than me".I liked that John Flanagan finally gave Will an apprentice and also that it was his own god daughter to take his mind off everything and also as it was a big change because she is the Crown Princess and first girl ranger apprentice to be taken on.There are many other things to like in this book, and if you want to know more it best for you to read it yourself to get a real liking for it.

Quick delivery, good price.
Can't beat the price offered by amazon! Bought this for a happy younger sister, and the delivery was very fast. Don't know about the storyline itself, but it seems that young teenagers nowadays are into books like these. Would recommend if you're thinking of getting a book or novel series for someone between 10 to 15.

The Royal Ranger
Absolutely loved this book but then again anything from John Flanagan is fantastic, he has the capacity to make you really care about his characters. Cassandra and Horace's daughter is turning into a spoilt little madam so they take away her royal privileges and ask Will to train her as his apprentice. Will is still mourning his wife and this is the best thing that happens to both of them. When children go missing all over the country they follow up and manage to kill two birds with one stone..... Not going to say anymore as I don't want to give the storyline away.

Perfect Second Series Starter
Was a great novel all the way around, I cannot complain!Halt still makes me laugh even though he is not the primary subject of the book anymore and Will is absolutely amazing as an older man. Just like his mentor. Love them sooo much!Maddie is a different twist on the story, being a girl and royal. Like the fact that she is so proud of herself and then gets in trouble all the time with Will. Another real gem written by John Flanagan.Would recommend.

SIMPLY WONDERFUL
I recommend it as a must read for all RA fans. It feels like you are back in Book 1. I enjoyed reading this book. I was so engrossed in reading this book that I let my Kindle fall from my hands more than once. Deserves the 5 stars it gets. I would give it more stars if I had the option.

Amazing
Once again the book is amazing!! It's wonderful do keep on Will's life. However, it was just as living Will's life again. It was interesting, of course, but could be a little different.

The last book.
This book was excellent! It was the best possible ending to this beloved series. It added a new subject to the book and is filled with emotions. At the beginning of this book you are overwhelmed by sadness. It is magnificent how that is hurriedly erased and happiness is on its way. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and encourage more readers of any age to start reading now!

I love it. I can connect with the characters
I've been an avid fan of Ranger's Apprentice forever. I've read the first 10 books multiple times, probably three, I think, but this was the first time I ever read both the Lost Stories and The Royal Ranger. The whole series is timeless. I love it. I can connect with the characters, and I can picture what's happening clearly in my mind. If you've gotten attached to the world of the Rangers, this book will move you. The way things have changed over the years that we didn't hear about it the other books . . . it's incredible. The connections John Flanagan manages to create between his readers and his characters are incredible. I love the writing style. I love the plot. I love the characters and the character development. Surges of hatred, pains of sorrow, and bursts of uncontrollable laughter kept me turning the pages until the very end. This is an incredible addition to the series, that, if I got my way, would never stop coming. Bravo, John. This is truly a work of art.
