Vera: Series 11 (Eps 1 & 2) [DVD] [2021]

Looking for one of the very best Mystery series ever created for Television, owning Series 11 would be a big start, if you have never viewed Vera on TV. If that is the case look to buy all 11 of the series. You will not regret owning them, watching them which are length wise equal to a typical film. The writing is simply superior to most anything on TV. And the acting is lights out. Filmed mostly on locations, this is quite the treat!

I really am the sort of person who likes something originally and then religiously carries on buying box sets of the series thereafter come what may - prime example Homeland even though I could stand the programme after S3. Unfortunately VERA is coming into the same bracket. Absolutely loved the first few series but the last couple have been boring. Brenda Blethyn takes the personality to the extreme now - the constant shouting and, dare I say, bullying nature is starting to get irritating, her boring sidekick, repeating the obvious regularly, stretched storylines and others are starting to lead me to the view that the series needs to be throttled now. Leave us with the memory of how good it used to be please

Why is series 11 half the previous running time? I have collected all series and eagerly awaited the 2021 series for an Xmas gift from my husband.I feel cheated. Series 11 has only 2 episodes - total running time two and half hours instead of previous series' being nearly 4 hours. And, I may add, for the same price.Disappointed. Is ITV Drama using the 'Covid ' situation to cheat it's viewing public who buy the DVD's to keep?Clearly.

In a time when new shows are hard to find it was refreshing to see an "old friend". Good shows, the only negative is that there were only two of them.

Vera does not disappoint, however only two episodes on this DVD . Shame but a sign of the timesotherwise a very good watch

The latest DVD in the series, we had to have it to add to our collection. This is a wonderful series, honest with good storylines with great actors. Very enjoyable & easy viewing,

I am a huge fan of Vera so maybe I'm bias but these are excellent.Really looking forward to next installments.

Recommended really; nice to watch and seeing Vera with a subtle new look. Just a shame just two episodes!
