I've been whitening my teeth for years with the Crest White Strips and have used other "blue lights." However, this light was different. It worked GREAT!! I could set a timer on my phone for 20 minutes, connect this to my phone, put my phone in my pocket and stick the blue light in my mouth over the Strips. It is definitely the BEST BLUE LIGHT I've ever used! The reason for the three stars is because after about 20 days, the light wouldn't stay on when plugged in. Other reviewers had the same problem. Also, the gel that came with it wasn't as effective as using the light with the white strips. I didn't feel the gel was covering the entire tooth area and it constantly was a hassle trying to keep the gel off my gums. The gel was just too gooey and tasted terrible, not to mention would have made my teeth more sensitive had I left it on my gums, etc. but when used with the strips, IT'S FANTASTIC AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I am returning this one and have already purchased another one (without the gel). Hopefully, the new one will stay working! After 14 days of nightly use, with a break in the middle when my gums were irritated, PERFECTION!!!!!! Since I drink coffee, black tea, and even prune juice, I now use it only one night a week, and keep my natural-looking, white teeth! I also ordered 3 additional containers of whitening solution, and am now halfway through the first.For those of you with a small mouth, this works for me and it will work for you!
