This is an excellent unit. Used for Chicken and Baby backs (Tip: for the Junior cut the racks in half). Perfect even temperature. No more wrapping, significantly better than my Rec Tec Pellet smoker on both. My lid was dented o arrival (FedEx do better!), contacted them--had a new one in two days with a special gift inside. Great Product; Great people!!!

Not only did this come before the expected date but it’s sleek and fits anywhere not bulky at all. Now let’s get to the set up, it’s easy and simple. I don’t even need to go into more detail it was no trouble at all. I watched some videos from the website and YouTube to prepare myself, I definitely recommend doing so. A few things you need to pair with this is heat resistant gloves, and the chimney starter. Now for the food, you’ll be impressing your family and friends for years to come! I can’t wait to cook more on pit barrel it’s worth every penny. Smoke volume is great you may have some trial and error on your end to get the hang of it, make sure you follow the elevation rule in the manual. The ability to cook anything is true to its word!

I used a Weber kettle as a smoker for years, but always had to fiddle with the vents throughout the cook to keep temperature constant. Finally decided to find a set-it-and-forget it smoker and stumbled upon this in the Meathead's gear review. With the low cost, compact size (I got the PBC Jr.), and ease of use, I decided to give it a try. I've done a whole chicken, Thanksgiving turkey, pork ribs - all turned out as good as I've ever made. I could even raise the temp by opening the vent and cracking the lid to produce a respectable char on tandoor chicken. Great product so far. Just hope the bottom doesn't corrode out over time.

This thing is great uses very little charcoal and seems like it burns forever. This thing can out a smoke ring on anything you put into it. Small enough to store easily but wow you can cook a ton of meat on it. Perfect for me and my family. Food is delicious and its 100% set and forget. Get a temp probe set and you are ready to go.

I live in a small townhome. I really don't have a lot of patio space. I have done some competition in college. Many of my friends wanted me to show them some stuff. I really didn't have the space for an offset unit. This is a great cooker. Easy to monitor temps, and for a small unit (you can do like 8 racks of ribs on it). Easy clean up, No flair ups. As long as you know how to manage a fire, this thing will work for you. I only wish i bought the bigger one! lol! However, there are something you should know. First, there is not temperature gauge, second there is no drawer to drop in more charcoal, or wood chunks, and third...you might have to seal the lid with a high heat sealer if you want it to maintain temps for longer cooks without adding more fuel.

Bought this for my husband as a present. He has never used a smoker before and I got this one because it seemed to be the least complicated one. What a great choice!!!! He has smoked different meats on it weekly and all of them have turned out perfect. Absolutely wonderful product. I have recommended this to multiple people.

this was a gift and my husband loves it but it is smaller then we thought . He is thinking once he gets used to it he will go for the larger one next time

Easy to use. PBJ is great for a retired couple and a few friends. Our chicken was the best we have ever done at home.
