L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference Ombre Touch Hair Color, OT5 For Medium Brown Hair

This kit gave me a great subtle ombre coloring in my medium brown hair! I used this to lighten about 3 inches of hair at the ends of my chin-length stacked A-line bob.The first thing I noticed about this kit is how quickly it lightened in my hair. I left the crème in my hair for the minimum time given on the package (25 minutes) and I got a great light golden color on my ends. The crème itself also did not have an overwhelming ammonia smell like a lot of hair dye kits do. That being said, it still had a chemical smell, but it was virtually undetectable unless the crème was right up in my face (which it is generally not meant to be). The fingertip applicator made the whole application process super easy and separated my hair nicely for even distribution of crème!Now for a couple warnings to potential buyers. Firstly, this dye does go on a bit streaky. However, it is nothing severe; after all, this kit is meant to achieve SUBTLE ombre only. The only time the streakiness is even vaguely noticeable in my hair is when it is combed perfectly flat. Since my hair has a bit of razored layering which creates movement, it is seldom laying completely flat anyway, so this was not a big deal to me at all. However, it may be a problem for a potential customer whose hair lies straight. Secondly, after showering and using the conditioning shampoo included in the packaging and then blowdrying with heat protectant crème, the ends of my hair felt very straw-like and I had a bit of a hard time running a fine-tooth comb through them. My hair tends to bounce back pretty quickly from chemical trauma (I used to dye and bleach my hair constantly with somehow minimal consequences), so I expect this to be fully remedied after a few days of using my Dove Daily Moisture shampoo and conditioner and also using leave-in conditioner at night. However, for more sensitive hair types, this could be an issue, and may even cause end breakage.Given those caveats, I found this kit affordable and extremely easy to use. This is not to mention it gave me an adorable, summery subtle ombre!

bought it to do ombre at home and it actually worked pretty well! sure,it is not the best ombre on the planet,since it was my 1st try,yet,it doesn't look bad at all. my I husband likes it. I just need to practice and the dye itself worked really well on my medium brown hair,I got a lot of golden shades. soon I will do it again to get blonde tips for a more obvious ombre look. overall,this product is a good choice if you can't spend 50$+ at a hair salon.

I bought the medium to light dye and I couldn't be more satisfied. Those of you that say it turns hair red...I don't know where you're getting this . My hair turned dark blonde. Also The color fades after a few weeks so I suggest buying more than one kit.
