Microsoft Flight Simulator: Standard Game of the Year Edition – Xbox & Windows [Digital Code]

I am very impressed with the 2024 MS Flight Simulator though in starting it up .. it really is an eyeful. I am familiar with the earlier MS Flight Sim games, so I will just take my time and get used to this one through a lot of help from many YouTube videos I have lined up. I am very much looking forward to logging a lot of hours with challenges provided in this new 2024 MSFS version.

Ordered this months ago with the WINDOWS DIGIT CODE - thinking I could install this on my PC and run it from my hard-drive as I have past FS Products (I have almost every FS since the original). Silly ME! What was I thinking???? I'm not "gamer" (and don't want to be) I don't own an X-box (and don't want to own one), as an aviation enthusiast I just occasionally want to practice flying on my PC. It's been months now and I have only been able to actually get online and use it twice - and virtually given up on trying to use, it in lieu of other Flight Simulators out there... Not sure why they have changed so much from previous versions (like keyboard entries of different features- after so many of them followed the same keystrokes etc). It's now like you have to learn the entire program all over again.. I've tried contacting MS Support but they were not helpful at all - could not even find my account - and I am not registered on the Support Forums, as I just don't get into they details like many of the avid enthusiasts on those forums. Loading the product (even on a HIGH SPEED wired home internet) takes forever - I go and watch TV or make dinner while it's booting up --- totally dissatisfied with the "progress" the MS has made with This version - I loaded up an older version that runs from the harddrive and am using that version, even though it doesn't have the graphics and some of the features of 2020.

Liked speed of fulfillment, found it a steep learning curve for gifting a software application.

I enjoy this simulator, as realistic as it can be.

It is just wonderful. I bought the Logitech's pedal and Yuke package also. Work perfectly together and just like a rael plane. I have had 5 hours of training on a Cessna 172 and this really helps to get ahead and save some $$$

It looks beautiful, but getting started is really hard. First I shopped to buy hardware that exceeded all of the requirement for the software. The first message I get says my hardware does not meet the specs and some things may not work. Are you kidding me? Then I stumble around trying to figure out where to start. I finally go look on the Internet and find some help. My Logitec yoke and throttle quadrant do not work ... until I download new drivers and go back to the web to learn how to configure things. But that does not see to work if I am inside of learn to fly tools. I am a pilot and I know how to fly a Cessna 152... so I go there, configure the flight yoke and use the advice on the web about configuration. At last, things are working. I am starting to see the potential, but this is a horrible way to start.

After you PAY for this, you will play HELL trying to "Redeem" your code. FIrst, if you ever FIND your "code" you'll be requested to go to your "Microsoft Account". IF you have one, once you bring it up, you'll get the "home" page...flouting all that Microsoft offers....but NO OPTION TO ENTER THE CODE. It is almost impossible to find ANY OPTION to enter the CODE, OR the "Product Key". Now I can't imagine why they make this SO incredibly difficult, but they take your money quickly enough. My wife gave me this for Christmas in 2023 and we NEVER got it working. Of course, AMAZON and microsoft do not give refunds on games. So you're screwed. WHY did I try to order this again? Because I'm an idiot. So they got me TWICE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT or ANY PRODUCT where you have to DOWNLOAD AND REDEEM a code. Merry Christmas. BAH.

Love all the options for flying.
