No longer disappointing my mother (at least with ironing out wrinkles).
Alright, so, full disclosure: despite my mother's best efforts, I never fully picked up the whole fold-and-iron thing. Both she and my father are adept and relentless about ironing, starching, pressing -- all that stuff that goes into looking your sharpest before any event of note. And despite countless lessons on the subject, I never quite absorbed any of them. Maybe the most basic level; I can iron, just not as efficiently as them. I don't own any steamers. Why would I? I avoid wrinkly fabric like the plague. So, the steamer. I have this skirt. It is 100% cotton (with a 100% polyester liner for reasons I don't really understand). I have had it for years, and for most of those years it has existed in a wrinkled state. Early on, I wrestled with it with irons, occasionally, because hey: it's a cute skirt. But no matter what iron I used on it (even a fancy one with bells and whistles I got on loan from a friend who sews most of her own clothes), it always had these shadow wrinkle things. Even just looking at it I always could just hear my mother's sigh, so for the most part I'd wear it under other skirts during the winter when it got under -20, because layers are warmth. In the meantime, you know, poly blends have become my best friends. But as eventually happens, I started collecting more clothes with higher levels of cotton content, and the wrinkles started to get to me. So I bought the steamer. As a test, I broke out the wrinkled-for-years skirt. Upon startup, the steamer spits for 15-20 seconds, but then operates smoothly with the occasional gurgly noises. I started steaming the wrinkle-skirt hanging up, first, but couldn't quite wrestle it taut the way I wanted, so I wound up laying it on the ironing board. Pulling the wrinkles taut is necessary, but after several refills of its little cannister thing, the skirt is pretty much wrinkle free. There are a few, shall we say, ghosts of its past here and there, but I have to stick my face right up to the fabric to see them, so I'm calling it good.In the interest of seeing how it worked on skirts that aren't out to disappoint my mother, I also tried it on a poly-cotton blend that was slightly wrinkled, and a 95% cotton, 5% spandex skirt that was a recent purchase and the real reason I got the steamer. The poly-cotton took about 1/4 of the little tank to get wrinkle-free. The 95%n cotton one (which okay yes I left crumpled on the floor for a few days because I wanted to get it a little more wrinkled, sue me) took one refill. It has pleats in it, and as a bonus I was able to use the steamer close on those pleats to make them a little crisper. Avoid the iron? Bonus. All in all, the steamer makes me feel like I can put any pieces of clothing in their proper place. Take that, wrinkle-skirt.I don't own any other steamers, so I don't know how this one compares, but it works for what I need it for. I am very pleased with it. Score one for technology.

Greatest little clothing steamer EVER !!!
OK ... I must confess that I DO LOVE TO IRON . To me it is cathartic & my time to just do a rather mindless task & just BE.HAVING SAID THAT, IN REAL LIFE, I ABSOLUTELY HATE dragging out all the equipment needed to do it. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M IN A HURRY (always) or traveling (not often enough but you get my drift).I have worked in the fabric & home fashion design industry so I have seen mammoth fabric steamers on set for photo shoots & in retail displays. And even up against those monsters of heat &steam ...THIS LITTLE MARVEL IS AMAZING!PRO SIDE: Heats up in a flash: Comes with attachments for various fabrics & applications: HAS A STOP & START (steam) BUTTON so you can set it down & not waste water/steam: self cleans: is so compact: turns ALL DIRECTIONS & maintains superior performance: works brilliantly from velvet drapes to chiffon gowns:CONS: IT DID "spit & sputter " water on the INITIAL START UP but hasn't since: while it is energy efficient, it IS LITTLE so it does need refilling more often than its larger competitors: it "walks" (toddles, vibrates, moves) as it is initially heating up because it is doing so at such a fast rate so I put mine on a towel in a dry heavy bowel until it's done. Then its fine to set on the counter: The cord is a bit heavier than the unit its self which I have come to appreciate as both a positive sign of it's power & ability to heat fast as well as the manufacturer's commitment to safety standards in electric appliances!i must say at first i was a bit hesitant about spending more for a small hand held steamer. really...how often was I going to use the thing?however, I have found that I use it AT LEAST as often as my curling iron (every morning) to just touch up items from the closet or drawer & give them that "just pressed" look which is just so crisp and gives you such a confident look & feeling inside.I'M BY NO MEANS SOLICITED IN ANYWAY FOR MY OPINION. I JUST LOVE THIS LITTLE APPLIANCE & I RARELY COMMENT ON ANYTHING I PURCHASE ON MY OWN VOLITION. HOWEVER, THIS ONE IS A GEM & I'M VERY CONFIDENT YOU WILL AS WELL.Good Luck.!

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS "WATERFALL" OF A STEAMER THAT DOES NOT! IT FLOODS THE GARMENT!
Under NO circumstances would I suggest anyone, in their right mind, purchase this "WATERFALL" of a non-steamer. It did not '"steam" my blouse - it thoroughly wet the small portion I tried, then quickly stopped, using this disaster of a unit. It, despite the "GUARANTEE" and the less than honest advertising on Amazon's page, DOES LEAK. IN FACT IT REALLY LEAKS AND LEAKS A LOT OF WATER. This was a flood, not a steam of an experience!Plus my lovely, expensive blouse, an Oscar de la Renta blouse, the first and THE LAST item I 'attempted' to steam with this "WATERFALL" OF A UNIT !It left a trail of water staining my lovely silk blouse requiring it now to take a trip to the "not-at-all" cheap specialty cleaner toask them to try to remove this "guaranteed" not to leak stain left from the steamer leaking on this blouse. I do not know the results as it was taken this past Thursday. Today is the Sunday following.I, after one wet use, called it the "WATERFALL NON-STEAMER". A disastrous episode on the first, and only piece of clothing I tried it steam.Poor, very poor. I'm wondering just what their "GUARANTEE" really means? Guess I'll see if I do send the bill to clean this only slightly wrinkled 'from hanging in a too crowded' closet blouse? The honest and THE "right thing to do" would be to remove this item from Amazons' page of steamers, and instead of pushing it as the "BEST STEAMER". TEST MINE WHEN IT ARRIVES. TEST A COUPLE OF OTHER STEAMER OF THE SAME BRAND TO DETERMINE IF MINE WAS AN "ACCIDENT" OR IF THIS IS THE 'NORM' FOR THIS APPARENTLY NOT MADE IN THE USA, OR NOT MADE BY AMERICANS, JUDGING FROM THE NAME ON A COMMUNICATION I RECEIVED REQUESTING MY "THOUGHTS" ON THIS NEW PURCHASE.DID THEY GET THEM? YOU BET THEY DID ! ! !

Great travel steamer with pouch and brush. Super cute and easy to use!
This steamer works great so far. It was a little puzzling at first as I realized that the steamer would stop putting out steam every 25 secs or so, but I figured out that if you run it in an up and down motion, it will put its safety measure in place and shut off. But on the box, it clearly says to shake it a little to keep it running. If you can sort of gently jiggle it as you're steaming, it shouldn't shut off. That said, I used it to steam a tulle skirt and a wrinkled shirt and there was enough water for both items. It uses up the water pretty quick but filling it up is not a problem and the water compartment is very easy to remove. I didn't experience any leakage and yes the top does get hot and there's a clear warning label at the mouth. But the bottom of the handle is cool to the touch, so no risk of burning there. You can also steam at any angle, it wasn't a problem for me.The box comes with a durable pouch and a brush accessory for deep steaming. Very easy to handle and overall a very good looking steamer that works. I'm very pleased and looking forward in using this more than ironing! My only disappointment is that this isn't a dual voltage steamer, so it's not suitable for international travel outside if they don't have 110-120v outlets. An adapter won't work as a 220-240v will fry this device, you would need a voltage converter, which is something else entirely. Otherwise if you're just traveling around Canada, US and Mexico, this should work perfectly fine.

Works well and easy to use
I wanted a steamer because my clothes get shiny or ruined sometimes with an iron, and I wear suits which I don't like to iron for fear of ruining them and they're a but difficult to iron the jacket. The steamer is easy to use and starts shooting out stream very quickly. It's comfortable to use, just don't get your hand too close to where the steam comes out because it gets extremely hot. I use it on my dress shirts and suits, and I get good results by pulling on the clothing while steaming as I'm the wrinkles come out easier. I do get wet spots occasionally but it's not soaking wet and dries quickly. One fill up of the water reservoir allows me to do one suit jacket and a pair of dress pants (because they are both usually less wrinkly) or one super wrinkly shirt. Overall, I'm pleased and stopped using my iron for clothes that don't need creases in them.

Will not work abroad
I bought this steamer a couple of months prior to leaving for Greece, and im fully regretting it now because it broke on the first use while traveling and Im stuck with it. Used it here in Canada to make sure it worked and it did so properly, but on the first use in Greece it wouldn't turn on. I used a converter, an adaptor and even tried it again in canada and not working AT ALL. If there is a warranty, PLEASE advise, as I do not want this product and given the price i should be reimbursed.

Pretty good buy!
It does spit a bit and you need to refill the water reservoir often as it uses it up quickly. Other than than it works well and happy I brought it so I don't have to keep pulling out the ironing board all the time. Will be good for travel long.
