I loved this book so much! I’m getting to the point mark where I have to introduce solids to my baby and I felt really nervous and hesitant about BLW but this book has helped me find confidence about this new and wonderful stage for my baby and me. I can’t even wait to try all the recipes in the book!!!!

Healthy Recipes, Education & Great Eats
I wish I had access to this book when my super picky, medically challenged baby. I bought this on a whim because I have been struggling with my Little who is texture adverse and wishes that chicken nuggets be available morning, noon and night. I find the recipes easy to follow and bring a combination of flavors with food that my family will eat. I specifically am looking for ways to add more protein into her diet and this book provides a wide selection of recipes that include protein. I have been able to gift this book to a friend who has to cook with dietary restrictions. Glad I have this book in my library.

Good
This has some great recipes but overall doesn’t have as many baby led weaning recipes as some of the other well known cookbooks. I def recommend it for content but due to lesser recipe selection opportunies I give it a 4 out if 5. Content is also not as in depth as several others in the marketplace.

Lots of great recipes and ideas for meals and snacks for your growing little one
There are plenty of recipes for meals and snacks for your little one. Some recipes can even be tweaked depending on what you have on hand and still come out quite well.

Simple, Creative, Healthy with a little bit Gourmet
The keywords I would use to describe the recipes in this book are: Simple, Creative, Healthy with a little bit Gourmet.I am a mom to a 9 month old and a 6 year old plus I have a full time job. I seriously lack the time to cook and in the last year, our family ordered out, A LOT. This book fell onto my lap as I was beginning to transition my daughter into solid foods. All I was making were purees where I mixed many foods into one blend. My daughter was getting bored of the same foods (she fussed during feeding time) and was developing a gagging reflex every time I fed her the mixtures. It all tasted the same, no fun at all! This book teaches me to prepare single meals which can be consumed by the baby and the rest of my family. Many of the recipes are baked, making them easy and tasty. In addition, once the baby is engaged and enjoying grabbing and eating food, I found time to feed myself. Each chapter is color coded to an age group making it very easy to follow. This book highlights if the recipes contain any allergens. I would recommend it to anyone who has no time to get creative and only cooks the few things that they has committed to memory. The ingredients on each recipe are common and easy to find. I have had this book for 3 days, and I have cooked 3 recipes already. I cook sufficient amounts to put aside for the next day’s meal. My favorite recipes so far are Banana Oat Waffles with (optional) peanut butter, Easy Blueberry-Oat Blender Muffins and Lightly Panfried Tofu with Nutritional Yeast. I usually like to compliment a carb with a bit of organic scrambled eggs (my daughter is not allergic) and… voila! My daughter loves the new foods and wonders how I turned so fun all of a sudden!

Starting solids - made easy! Enjoying the same foods together as a family!
I am so thankful to have this cookbook as a resource. As a registered nurse working in pediatrics and a mom of a toddler (and one on the way) I am often thinking about nutrition for littles. Tok-Hui does a lovely job of providing all you need to know to get started with BLW and create a healthy and happy food-enjoying experience with babies. This is a beautiful and very useful book we’ll keep on the counter and refer to often! It’s easy-to-read and loaded with helpful tips and tricks. I’m excited to try all the 12 months + recipes with my son (and for us too!). I will be recommending this book to every new mom and caregiver starting solid foods with a baby.I have loved doing the BLW method with my son as he’s learned to eat. Meal times have been messier at times, yes, but also so rewarding as we get to enjoy the same foods together as a family.

Wish it had more pictures
I wasn’t super impressed with this cookbook only because I do like to look at more pictures of the foods. I did however like the allergy friendly option because my daughter has a cow milk protein allergy.
